Absol Hunter I was luckily able to knock out Milotic with one hit using Decidueye's Leaf Blade lol
Green Midori Clefable and Bewear were the hardest for me to take down, but Mismagius and Milotic were the easiest because I had Decidueye with me. the others were Zygarde, Raticate (Alolan), Lycanroc, Magneton, and Pelipper.
winterAmpharosIII I only had trouble with Clefable. The rest of her pokemon were easy to beat in one hit. Bewear was easily knocked out using Sylveon's Moonblast. My team consisted of Decidueye, Sylveon, Solgaleo, Salazzle, Mudsdale and Greninja (w/ Battle Bond)

In her first fight, I nearly got my ### kicked by Guzma beforehand (mostly because a lot of my Pokemon are weak to bug), but she was a walk in the park, only knocking out a few of my mons (although at least they had the decency to heal my team when I wasn't looking. Otherwise I would have had nothing but a Greninja). They should have given her at least one Ultra Beast (either 02 Beauty or 01)
Lusamine is terrifying.
When I first battle her unprepared, she was challenging.

Well, to be fair, the Mother Beast is more of a support buffer than anything- the traditional "bard" character like the Troubadours from Etrian Odyssey or Nils from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. She buffs her team with Totem auras and sends them out to fight, most likely so that her unstable fusion with Nihilego isn't disrupted.

Honestly one of the hardest villain battles. I have never seen a AI actually set up so much strategy based moves like Light screen, Cosmic Power, Moonlight, etc. I remember clinging on to dear Life on her second battle because the last time I saved was somewhere around the beginning of the 2nd island and she had +4 cosmic power and Light screens. Luckily my Gumshoos had Super Fang. It made me have a panic attack with only 1 revive left in my bag with 3 of my pokemon down from her Clefable.

Picture this; Double Battle, final boss sends out Slowking and Slaking. Slowking immediately Skill Swaps with his ally Slaking to get rid of Truant and then next turn Skill Swaps with one of your Pokemon.

I liked her relationship with her kids. Lusamines family having severe issues and the idea of three bystanders You, Hau (and Guzma to a extent) just being there being brought along in their mess just makes a interesting and engaging Pokémon story in my opinion.

I love how they made all her Pokemon have frowns in this fight (well, except Bewear, that was the same). It really added towards the tension and mood. But, to be honest I don't understand the point in making Lusamine fuse with Nihilego if we just have a regular Pokemon battle with her. It just seemed unnecessary to me.
When fused with Nihledo, her pokemon are basically totem Pokemon
Sonario648 I know. But they didn't need to make them fuse to do that. She could have made Nihilego give its power to her Pokemon off from the side or something.
TheImpossibleGirl She attempted to attack them after the battle. Fusing with Nihilego enhanced her and her Pokemon, and she could try attacking the protagonist as a last resort.
Which she actually INTENDED to do, in which Lillie hesitated and had no choice but stop her with Lunala / Solgaleo.

I loved everything about her character. Honestly I sympathize for her... she just wanted her husband back...

Yeah but it was for not. Cuz her husband lost all his memories of her and she then bid him farewell. Which means her marriage is over. Especially since he has no memory of ever being married. What’s the point now? lol
@@Shadowrulzalways that was probably her original goal but most likely along the way couldn’t come to terms with accepting he was gone. So she ended up becoming obsessed with nihilego to grieve for her loss, and ended up driving herself to madness and ultimately bringing her kids with her descent to madness by emotionally abusing them as they grew up. She was a tragic character who became a child abuser and I can’t sympathize with someone like that.

This is why I love Pokemon Sun and Moon. It has an interesting plot twist, from having Team Skull being the bad guys to Aether showing their true colors of being the real big bad here. And having a female evil team Leader, who happens to be a mother, only obsessed with Ultra Beasts and has already achieved her goal of opening the Ultra Worm hole is what makes Sun and Moon different from its predecessors.
Sad to say, the upcoming Ultra Sun and Moon will have a different or I should say, alternative story. They would be following the anime, who is afraid of portraying an evil Mother, making her into a stereotypical, loving mother with Faba becoming the main villain instead. Then later focus would be on Giovanni. I mean, the focus should be about Necrozma and the Ultra wormhole not on Giovanni and Team Rainbow Rocket with the other previous evil bosses. They took away the uniqueness of the story. What's wrong Pokemon Sun and Moon Anime? Why are you too afraid to portray a Mother villain? Why is Gamefreak following the anime's story formula on Ultra Sun and Moon? Is it wrong to have a Mother villain?

Holy crap, do Pokemon have a random chance to get the Focus Band effect now? That's almost broken.
It had this effect since XY. It's a Pokémon-Amie/Refresh feature. If your pokémon gets 5 hearts, it will have a bigger probablity to survive with 1HP, cure itself from status effects and do critical damage.

I'll list the effects of Pokemon Refresh if you're curious:
I remember if a Pokemon has a certain amount of affection it can cure a status condition such as paralysis without the use of an item, but I can't remember how much affection is needed.
2 or more affection: Increased EXP received from defeating a Pokemon (I believe it's 1.2 X normal EXP)
3 or more affection: Has a chance to survive an attack with 1 HP, can also happen while at 1 HP.
4 or more affection: Increased evasion rate, even has the chance to dodge moves that aren't supposed to miss.
5 affection: Increased critical hit rate
These bonuses won't affect battles against other players.

Dan Lee I had 0 Super effective moves against that bastard, I spent atleast 15 turns trying to widdle down that bastard, only for it to heal back up. It wasn't until the after game where I got a type null and made it steel
That sucks-- The only types I couldn't cover for super effective moves were Electric (No Ground types). I could hit everything else.
I used mudsdale which learned heavy slam. was pretty much easy
so what's the use of Lusamine fusing with Nihilego? thought she would fight too lol
i'm sure you recognized how the pokemon of Lusamine has that aura that Totem Pokémon have. Maybe having Nihilego fused with her also affects her Pokémon in a way. This is just my speculation or opinion based on the video as I can't play the game.
I've played, and yes, the fusion makes all her Pokemon get Totem boosts.

Her intro scene in her first fight was really cool with the shot of her stepping forward creating an impact on the screen, then the camera suddenly shifts around her body until we see her face with an evil smirk growing.
Getting to watch Lillie change after this and grow stronger because of this moment, right here is a memory in video games that will not soon fade.

You know, in case you didn't think Lusamine is pretty much what would happen if Ragyo Kiryuin was in the Pokemon world.
Clefable took me so long to kill, I barely did damage to it and it kept using moonlight. I had to lower its special defense before I could do decent damage cause I was underleveled :/
Even if the Clefable gets poisoned, it doesn't take damage from it because of it's Magic Guard ability. I should know, because I tried.

But seriosly if you dont have a Steel or poison pokemon with good ATQ (not special atq) that clefable is almost imposible to kill,poison or burn dont work, its imposible to kill with specialatqs and it starts buffing his defenses until max is reached and healing herself while in danger. And it has metronome so at that point the battle becomes hitting and hoping to survive the next turn(i lost half of my poekmon team against it , the metronome got guillotine and fisure for some reason and they hitted).

Lusamine and just this generation's story arc was the best hand down imo. I found myself so invested and what was going to happen next. This was the first time i did not know what was going to happen. Lusamine is the best villain to date with one of the most difficult boss battles. I can't wait to see it in the anime!

Lusamine hasn't always been a corrupted bad person. Deep down there is still a good soul aching to get out, more so a good mother. Its all beautifully told in her battle music. Listen closely and you will see what I mean.

Adding to this: Lusamine's theme has a lemotif that plays prominently in her first fight. But in her beast mode fight, it only plays a few times, not even with the same notes.

My team had two flaws, can't take down ground types easily and they can't take down fairies. Lusamine's Clefable in the second battle was the spawn of Satan. I had to trade over my level 60 Muk from moon. (I have two 3Ds's)

It was tough for me as well but I used some well timed potions and snorlax was a huge help with his defence

I couldn't come up with an original name D: thats just the translations which are far behind. the poke adventures are still uptodate with xy adventures and also did a special omega alpha arc.

Everyone complaining that Lusamine herself isn't the boss fight but forgets to realize that Pokemon is about fighting what you can *CATCH*. Fighting her directly would mean she's turned into a pokemon.
Give her a huge totem aura (Like +3 all stats or something), and use normal Nihilego stats + totem rules? There's already Pokemon variants you can't catch in the Totems (they're bigger than usual, for example)

Wrong. You couldn't catch Black/White Kyurem in B2/W2 because Ghetsis had control over it. It's also impossible to catch Black/White Kyurem in the wild.
You also did battle with several different props, people, and robots in PokéStar Studios in B2/W2.
And in this game, Prof. Kukui has his Pokémon hit him as hard as they can with several different moves so he can do research on them.
If he can take it, why can't an ultra-powered, fused Lusamine/Nihilego fusion? It didn't make much sense to me why they would suddenly begin to defuse after you KO'd all of her Pokémon.
You should've been able to fight Lusa-lego herself as her sixth Pokémon. Then she would fall back, try to smack you and Lillie in anger as she tries to keep the fusion stable, then Solgaleo/Lunala finish her off and defuse her.
That heel stomp..

Truly terrifying. Lusamine was toned down quite a bit in Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, and it's pretty easy to see why! D:

This sounds horrible but I kind of wish they let Lusamine die because it would have made Pokemon more serious and show that not everyone in the game is invincible. It would have also added to the sadness of the story
I don't think Pokemon needs to add death in order to make a more serious or sad story. I think they already do that well especially with the Lille and the legendary Pokemon part. Plus, lysandre from X and Y already died when the ultimate machine was fired.

Not gonna lie, I thought the final Lusamine battle kind of underwhelming. It's sorta like the robo-Groudon Chobin fight with in Gale of Darkness. They both have this insane power with insane potential, but they just use their normal Pokemon with some differences. Maybe we couldn've improved on this concept and you'd have to fight Lusamine head-on as if she were a Pokemon, or even better, have the player character turn into a fusion between their starter and have a full-on duel. But Y'know, one can only dream

Mixeli your pokemon were at higher level. AND YOU HAD EXP. SHARE ON. and you struggled to beat her. I made it through the whole game without it. my heart is broken unsubscribing. But try the game again WITH EXP.SHARE OOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFF. and you'll that the game is liberally HELL.
I know they may have hinted this in the anime at some points...and maybe from the non-canon games, but is it truly possible to fuse/merge with Pokemon? That would change the very way this game is played!
Nihilego is a parasite, so I wouldn't say it's a straight up fusion.

2nd battle is gotta be "No you don't fight the big monster that I became but you're just gonna fight my Pokémon and if I lose then I'll almost die."
Why would she fight by herself, fused with the thing she loves more than everything else - Nihilego - when she has some puny Pokemon which are meant to be used for fighting, while also Totem-boosting them to ensure her vistory? Also, she is fine physically after losing the battle (as fine as unstable human-Nihilego fusion can be), just enraged to a crazy extent.

It's explained that her fused state uses neurotoxins to enhance the user and their pokemon. Nothing to do with fighting by itself.

Sad. She was married but now she is a single mother. Remember her husband lost his memory and doesn’t know her or about the fact they were married. And she bid him farewell after realizing that. Her marriage is over now.
So Lusamine is a single mother now. Moha is happy with his new life and she couldn’t bring herself to ruin it.
