Lyrics:
- Tom Tiddler’s Ground -
I thought you had passed
But you caught me at last
Where you know I could never be worn
And now that you're here
And you finally do hear
It's so clear on the wings of the dawn
Where your smile starts to shine
As you breathe in the brine
Of the spray of the very same day
The same day we all go
When we're absolutely sure that we know
What it is to be floating away
And there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Oh there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Long before Eden was lost and found
But you know you'll have to be kind
If you're ever going to find
The place that your face could have shown
Especially when you don't dare
To force anyone there
To share in the ice that is being blown
And there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Oh there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Long before Eden was lost and found
And you heard me say 'Yes'
But you know it's a guess
Somebody else shouted 'No'
But freedom is free
Of all the forces that be
And the ice that you too thought that you should throw
And there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Oh there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Long before Eden was lost and found
You know I thought you had passed
But you caught me at last
Where you know I could never be worn
And now that you're here
And you finally do hear
It's so clear on the wings of the dawn
When you made up your mind how much you needed to find
Before you were finally born
But you know freedom is free
Of all the forces that be
And the ice that you too thought that you should throw
And there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Oh there's a love nest in Tom Tiddler's ground
Long before Eden was lost and found - Hudba
Roy: Rolling? A joint? You'd better be!
Me: YES HOW DID U KNOW?
Roy wrote great songs for a long time l had the pleasure to see him several times still love his music 50 years later his voice was full of emotion his lyrics timeless
To my eternal joy I've managed to see Roy live
many times over the years
The last time back in the early 2000s
A small Town Hall venue, obviously no smoking !
The àùdience , bless em were throwing Spliffs on to the stage and Roy without ɓŕeàkiñg ĥis Ɓèautìful music would grab one and spark it up!
Love the Man!!....
This is, for me, such a great tune from a superb album that is a must to own.
what amazing lyrics and wow that voice ! reminds me of my late Brother ..just Beautiful always .
💚 🌠
Did your brother arrive yett!
Amazing song with very pure acoustic qualities, a very provoking song
Yeah hippy vibe & all laid in there
Such a tune!! Classic track of a dream of an era
He's talking to Tony Visconti, who played flute on this song. Brilliantly produced at Abbey Road studios, by Peter Jenner, me thinks...
To my Darling Mary (from Hull, and still with us!). 'Yeah, I know exactly what you mean there, Tony' (and Roy). Stay free. R 😎 [Edit:} PS. Drop me a line sometime convenient, T. Thank you.
BAINESY ARE YOU OUT THERE SOMEWHERE??
Did yahh find your brains yett!
Lo amiamo come Joni , Sandy, John, Bob, Neil, Leonard, i Led Zeppelin, i Pink Floyd , PJ Harvey
When Led Zeppelin writes a song titled with your name....Your pretty good. Trust me...My last name is "Sgt. Pepper"
I didn't know that Led Zeppelin had written a song called Sgt. Pepper.
Yeah I can see the connection between Zeppelin and Harper. He's almost Zeppelin unplugged and this is one of his best tunes.
Welcome to the visit what ahhh song
Jimmy Page plays acoustic on Stormcock under a pseudonym. Great stuff!
@@ronaldlongendyke3313 I will listen.
