Vidushi Kalapini Komkali
Kalapini Komkali is the daughter and disciple of the legendary Pandit Kumar Gandharva. Her wide repertoire of ragas and compositions is further supplemented by the presentation of the traditional songs of Malwa representing the folklore and ethnic essence of the region. She has rendered in her immitable style the Sagun-Nirgun Bhajans of the various saint poets. She is an active trustee of the Kumar Gandharva academy. The improvisations made by her are generally rooted in the Gwalior gayaki, but carry her own distinct identity.
Pandit Sudhansu Kulkarni, Harmonium Accompanist
Pandit Sudhansu Kulkarni, being child prodigy learnt from several great gurus like late Appasaheb Laxman Sakhalkar, Pt. Ramabhau K.Bijapure, one of the noteworthy harmonium maestros of the time.
Panditji is the first in country to obtain Doctorate in Music from Akhil Bharathiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai in solo harmonium under the able guidance of Pt. Narayanrao V. Patwardhan of Vadodara.
He has accompanied eminent artists in harmonium like Dr. Gangubai Hangal, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Pt. P.K.Ginde, Pt. Prabhakar Karkare, Dr. Prabha Atre, Smt. Malini Rajurkar, Begum Parveen Sultan,Smt. Padma Talwalkar, Smt Veena Sahasrabuddhe, Dr. Shyamala Bhave and a lot of other luminaries of Hindustani music
Shri Keshav Joshi, Tabla accompanist
Keshav Joshi, picked up playing tabala at the age of eight under the tutelage of Pandit R. H. More, Late Pandit Karveer Mallapur ,eminent tabalist of the Banaras Gharana Pt. Ishwarlal Mishra and Pandit Suraj Purandare of Dharwad. . He is a ‘B High’ grade Artiste of the All India Radio.
Over the years, he has accompanied eminent artists in tabla including Padmashree Pandit M. Venkatesh Kumar, Pandit Jayteerth Mevundi, Pandit Rajan Mishra and Pandit Sajan Mishra, Vidushi Ashwini Bhide, Vidushi Arathi Ankalikar, Vidushi Kalpana Zokarkar, Sri Raghunandan Phanashikar, Pandit Ganapathi Bhat, Pandit Kaivalya Kumar Gurav, Pandit Praveen Godkhindi, Ustad Faiyaz Khan, Ustad Shafiq Khan, Ustad Rafiq Khan, Pandit Anand Bhate, Pandit Niladri Kumar, Smt. Sangeeta Katti, Sri Sriram Parashuram, Smt. Anuradha Sriram, Pandit Vinayak Torvi, Sri. Ananth Kulkarni, Sri. Puttur Narasimha Naik, Sri. Vidhyabhushana and many others.
He has been awarded the various state level awards including ’Pandit Basavaraj Rajguru Rashtreeya Yuva Puraskar 2019’ and many more. He also has founded and runs the ‘Avartan Sangeet Sabha’, a forum to encourage and promote classical music and upcoming musicians.
