it took me 3 years to incorporate a green coloured aesthetic in various colours to go with my warm skintone. to me greens are earthy and each shade shows the versatility in the colour. green can be happy and green can make you look put together. i just love the colour and i really appreciate how much wear i get from tops, shirts, sweaters, jackets it just suits me very well!
omg I love green❣️❣️ I love a good olive and I definitely don't incorporate it a lot like I want to 🤌🤌
😊😊😊😊😊
omg you may not read this but thanks for your comment, i'm very anxious and for absolute no reason i always fell like i'm constantly behind in life so i want everything like we say in Brazil "for yesterday", and my unperfected wardrobe is driving me crazy cuz i feel like i desperately need everything that i want/need to wear RIGHT NOW IN MY HANDS and read that someone took three years to get there (where i wanna get) and that's ok, is very calming cuz i know that we don't usually get what we want over the night but actually seeing that time needs time is idk, kinda awesome
well said too much already but anyway thanks and have a nice day
kisses from brazil
@ThalvePereira awe no problem! Yeah it definitely took time to make my wardrobe how I wanted it to look! Patience is key and you'll get there don't worry! You will find the pieces that you like and enjoy and you'll be very happy with the effort and success!
Green is my color too. I love this content!
As a guy I must say: this is next level & there is so much left for me to learn here. I love it.
Long sleeved sweaters/shirts + straight leg jeans+ loafers is always a slay.
this is so helpful! i'm truly terrible at fashion, i have no idea what my signature style would be other than leggings and sweaters at this point, ever since the pandemic 😂every time i have to leave the house and wear actual clothes i get stressed out, because i have nothing that makes me feel confident and comfortable. getting dressed (up) stresses me out while i feel like it should be fun. i've been looking for that confidence boost and i just can't seem to find it, but your fashion videos are so incredibly helpful and fun! thank you for helping out us not so fashionable girlies 💅
As a cool-toned gal I love my silver jewellery and my go-to clothing items are:
wide trousers and jeans
chunky monotone sweaters
maxi skirts
dress shirts
monotone sweatshirts and tees
blazers
doc martens
mules
Most of these items I prefer in blue, black, grey or white. I feel most confident in these colours.
I realise the other day I have an obsession with white button shirts. Whether they maybe crop or regular length, I typically gravitate towards them. I like a pair of light blue jeans, paired with either a classic white sneakers or chunky platform boots. Then I would often switched pants up with high waist trousers, crop plain basic tees, white or black. Footwear style never changes. I like plain gold jewelry, and a clean plain blush pink nail designs, med length. 😉
❤🙌🏼
I started thrifting a few years ago, bought lots of clothes on impulse since they're cheap, probably half of them I don't have now but that process helped me understand the style that fits and gives me confidence. I discovered I love square/heart shape neckline and fitted tops look better on me.
I used to think of myself as someone who had a personal style. Then I moved to a different country with a different climate and I’m only dressing for survival and it honestly has created me many frustrating moment because I miss the days where I could look and feel good. Please please can you do a series on hot and humid weather outfits that are not short shorts ? 🤯🫠
Linen and silk pants (or shorts) will probably be best in terms of fabric choices.
I feel you, i live in Brazil (tropical weather) and is difficult to dress like pinterest bc they always put sooo many layers
@@chris-rp3jl exatamente! olha, moro em Moçambique e no verão questiono todas as decisões da minha vida, mas no inverno está bom 😂
😊😊
I moved from a tropical country to a cold one so I feel this!
It took me forever to come up with my unique style and I’ve finally settled with one. I’m half Chinese and half white so I found how to show off both sides of me. I love the western old money style, but I often find it very bland and boring so I want to add pops of bright colors to it and adding Chinese elements to the look like Chinese embroidery, Chinese fan, Chinese hairpins, Chinese makeup…etc.
First of all thank you so much Asia.
I’ve realised that last year i studied my tones and undertones and I just realised that I have warm tones with neutral undertones and seeing my wardrobe i only choose those kind of colours but at the same time I am experimenting and see what fits me the best❤ I didn’t even finished the videos and your serie on how to build a wardrobe is awesome ✨🎀
How did you understand your tone I’m kinda lost 😅
@@Sarah-hd2zm I guess it depends on the colour of your veins. If it’s green = warm. If it’s blue/purple = cool. If it’s both = neutral. But you could try the foundation method too by putting sample of foundation on your arm and jawline and see which one fit you well as a base foundation and/or concealer. For me is a brown with khaki pigmentation that embrace my natural foundation.
Btw I’m more neutral-warm undertone.
Hope it helps
Analytical fashion is what I’ve neeeeeded all my life I’m binging all your videos right now you make so much sense
Jumpsuits for everyday errands. The are easy and comfy and gives a put together look
Analytical style videos are the best! 🥇 My winter style uniform: wool turtleneck, wide legged pants, a coat, boots and nice retro earrings.
Your video content is on point. I was working on my signature style for a while now and your video confirms I am on a good path. I really appreciate all of your content 🫶🏻
turtlenecks, suit pants and boots are my go to pieces. I love to wear colors like beige, brown, cream, grey and black honestly and silver jewelry is a must.
Your videos are always so helpful! Please never stop posting
Thanks for another great advice! I remember your basic and essentials video like 4 yrs ago or so, and that video really helped me to start buying clothes with my brain on! And slowly work towards a good closet... I'm still on my journey but thank you very much!
My autumn/winter signature this year (and I'm pretty happy, as it seems I've finally found a silhouette I like!) has been high neck sweaters in vivid colors (cerulean blue, yellow, red) + a skirt (pleated, A-line) OR straight/wide jeans and boots/converse. I have an unnecessary variety of coats thanks to my siblings, so adding those and accessories I can create a nice amount of different outfits ❤
you really have been looking sooo good lately, like just gorgeous and glowing!!
Personal taste not matching with the body type/personal color… the biggest struggle ever😂
So true. My pear-shaped body and short height can never fulfill my personal taste. .😂
My personal style do not match with my country's weather 😭
Actually for this year, one of my goals is to incorporate more of those "special occassion" pieces into my signature style! Probably will only be in the form of accessorizing, as that's easiest (also, most appropriate for all occasions haha). While I have been working towards creating uniforms to quell that decision fatigue and overwhelm when I open my wardrobe, I found it has taken the joy of getting dressed sometimes. Maybe it's just a current phase, but I'm gonna wear my shimmery purse to the grocery store sometimes because it'll make me smile more that day!
I need your cardigan!! Lol Love your style, definitely what I try to go for as well
Thanks to your videos, I've been working non-stop on fashion for two months and have taken my entire style to a new level.
Zalando should send you a thank you voucher for as much as I've ordered there since then. ^^
My uniforms:
For lazy days at home
- Mainly sweater dresses with tights (no pressure on the belly, a little oversized, super comfortable and cute at the same time)
- For outside: princess cut coat over it and ankle boots
- Baggy jeans or cargo jeans (very comfortable)
- Tight sweater as a contrast
- Basketball shoes
- With a puffer jacket
- Wool sweater
- Tight, black leggings (the all-rounder)
Omg Asia!! I love your videos and I got so excited when I saw you just posted this one!!🎉🎉
Funny enough I remember seeing your 2018 video and realizing I also hated all of my sweaters because of the boat neckline and I haven’t bought another one since then 😅 that video really made me think of the necklines that actually look good on me and I enjoy!
It's crazy cos I think those necklines are actually the ones that look the best on me. Btw idk if you’re into nyc vlogs but if so, you might like mine! I’d be sooo grateful if you swung by and took a peek. 🙏 Stick around if you like!
My staples are heavily influenced by the fact that I work an office job that requires a pretty high level of skin coverage. My staples are those fp happiness runs "compression" athletic tanks (these are terrible as exercise clothing for us larger-chested people, but I use them exclusively as either bras/undergarments for work or casual, form-fitting crop tops outside work), white button-ups, cropped button-up cashmere cardigans, high-waisted trousers to go with said cardigans, relaxed fit and lower rise pants to go with everything else, satin scrunchies, and turtlenecks/mock necks. I only really got into white button ups last year (increased my number from 1 to 5), and now I have a *very* good idea of what I like, so we'll see how that pans out this year. I just might figure out how I want to tailor the one white collared shirt I'm less enthused about.
Since my realization that I am a cool color season, I have also started looking at silver colored jewelry, but the only thing with that color that has the same durability as gold is platinum, so I suppose I'll just have to start saving, haha...
Love your channel, Asia! You are terrific! Great recommendations!
i loveee your analytical fashion videos ❤❤
I loved this! You teach me SO MUCH about styling and clothes! Thank you very much 🫶🏻✨
You know your stuff. I practice all of these themes.
Hey girl, I just discovered your channel and your videos are so helpful and amazing! One of my goals this year is to be more intentional with my style and I have been learning so much from your videos! I would love it if you did a video describing your process of getting rid of old clothes? Like do you donate them? Do you give them away or what you do to fix them up if they are wearing down etc. I think that would be cool 💕
Mine is a henely shirt, muscle tank, petite fitted jeans, and solid gold jewelry (specifically a mood changing one)! I'm partial dark autumn + jewel tones as well
Uniform look really says it very well!
Been thinking about this idea a lot and this video is so good! Thank you Asia!
My uniform:
Pants: ultra high rise (11-12in) flared or wide leg pants
Skirts:high waisted, long wrap skirts
Tops: slim fit t shirt or sweaters, slightly cropped with an open neckline, or a wrap top.
I love textured pieces and soft saturated colors 😊
Your content is gold. You should have at least a million follower!
love your videos girl! keep going 🧡
Dude i love all your videos u explain things perfectly and have helped me so much bb ily
I am a stay at home mom who literally have a very normal life I go to the park grocery store I’m not out at events every week so my style is very basic and comfortable.
Some pieces I’m wearing for the upcoming season:
-tube tops
-knit pants
-mid/high waist jeans
-cardigans
- clogs
- sneakers
Some other pieces but these are my mains
Love this video! I figured out that my style is pretty much similar to the “clean girl” -trend. So that’s what I’m going to be wearing more of, even tho it’s trendy. It works for me 😊 thank you for this information 🎉
love you’re videos ❤
Nails are very important to makes me feel polished. Thank you for pointing out .
Yes, especially when they are well manicured and not too long.
I love this video so much! I feel like I was implementing some of this subconsciously and this video was like an aha moment. I used to love silver jewelry and have switched to gold not realizing it’s because of my warm undertones and it genuinely looks better on me. After watching this I know that I will never do a strapless top or dress again because I have really broad shoulders. Skinny jeans are a no for me and I feel less guilty about that. Straight leg or palazzo only. Sandals and shoes are a yay for me but never ever ever flip flops. So interesting analyzing my preferences! Thanks for this vid🫶🏽
I'm fvking in love with your style. literally all-rounder queennn ughhh 😍
I just recently found out that i domt really like black near my face and id always rather go for a full white outfit than a full black one. Plus i love the mediterranean fashion - a lot of linen, very flowy, feminine but free and not preppy. I have a neutral undertone, so i wear all colours. I am still working out a few things - id like to incorporate more dresses and skirts in to my daily wear, but i really really dialike tighta and my countrys climaye kinda requires them for at least half of the year.
But, my signature pieces are currently
White/off white low rise flowy linen pants
A few plain croptops
A white button up
Blue and cream mom jeans
This white alpaca cardigan
White lowtop converse, red low top converse
Headscarf
Black bomber jacket and a camelcoat
Gold jewellery
Dark red backpack (it matches the converse perfectly).
my staples are cargo (wide leg), gold jewelry, and Crocs are my go-to's, either a cute mini or a tote bag, depending on the day it's a graphic tee or any of my green/brown shirts!
Oooh I do love a good cargo!
Thank you very much! Finally I really saw what is neutral undertone means! OMG! It is mine!
This was very helpful thank you Asia!💗
I just love your styling video. At a time where everyone is over complicating it with 25 different body types and seasons and spirits and what not you keep it simple and we like it!!
Stumbled upon this video and now you are one of my fav youtube girlies. Immediately subscribed 💜
I needed this video. Thank you.
Lovely entertaining video. You have managed to give me some clarity as to what my style is. I've always been drawn to a slightly androgynous and neat way of dressing in my personal style (think blazers, crisp shirts and jeans) - whereas my signature style is lots of floppy linen pants, singlets and loose shirts. In fact I reckon I was dressing coastal grandma before it was a thing.
mostly i am grabbing for oversized blazers of any texturen and color, dressed - wide leged pants or jeans. t-shirts (neutral, grafic oversized or crop) schunky sneakers, loafers or sandels. in the winter i love cardigans or comfy oversized sweaters. for accesories mostly simpel and gold but i do like a statement gold earing.
thank you for the video, i love your style
Your channel is a life changer. I've just fit all my clothes and took pics so I don't stress out every time I leave the house. Thanksssss
Trueeee
Really appreciate this video thank you ❤️✨
Asia girl thank you for these bomb videos! I’m going to incorporate these ideas for my husband and his wardrobe too
love your personality!! x
Thank you ,Asia!! You are my fashion model ❤️🙊💋
These tips helped a lot! Thanks!
Oh. Cargo pants raglan sleeve tops and sweaters and trousers. Thanks for the tip on Uniqlo trousers Luv. Oh and Monica Vinader. Keep it coming! ❤
I loved this video!! so informative
Girllllaaaa!! This video was amazing! And to answer your question: Blazers are 100% part of my uniform lols. I LOVE a nice blazer
My go to uniform pieces are: my Citizens of Humanity horse shoe jeans (I have 3 colours), with a racerback vest & / or jumper, an interesting belt, adidas sambas / pointy boots and bold earrings. I can create so many different looks with this combo - it's a no brainier for me and feels lived in and authentic to me. It took me a while and many bad purchases before I finally figured out what works.
Interesting video and great tips.
For those watching and are curious of what color that suit them, please don't rely on vein test. It says nothing about UNDERtone but more about OVERtone, 👍 Think more about if a soft (greyish) pink makes you look pale/grey/sick, etc. There are great videos from professionals and they never look at your veins.
New fan here. binge watching your videos. this is awesome for me cause it helps improve my clothing style as well as my accent 😊😂
Wow I gotta say I really love her videos. She just randomly was in my feed today and already watched a bunch of her vids haha
I was so convinced that I don't have a signature style even though I like my style and am sure I have one. I just didn't feel like I had a *signature* look. But figgured out: I do have one. I basically always wear a flared jeans, medium rised to low rise, with a thight fitting long sleeve in autmn/spring or baggy shirts in summer/winter. And on top of that I always wear a watch my parents gave me literally 5 years ago (yeah I think I should get a new one but I love my watch hahaha). As jewelry I wear gold medium large earrings, a braclet my boyfriend gave me for my birthday (he's got one too, its our type of a friendship bracelet). And whenever I wear a V-cut shirt or a turtle neck I wear a necklace. For shoes I wear either my plateau converse or my brighter ones from fila. I really had fun analyzing my style (well its a hella long text so of course). Oh and don't mind my grammar or spelling, my German ass is struggeling rn
Great video I'm trying to get dressed and I definitely have a unique style that changes with this l.a weather. Edgy, classic bold and unique always comfortable 😊
My uniform has become a blousy button-down shirt or graphic tee with wide leg trousers/jeans or a slinky skirt, almost all in jewel tones and typically with a studded boot or ankle strap heel. And whether it is in black, gold, rose gold, or silver, you will ALWAYS find me wearing a hoop earring.
Finding my undertone has been revolutionary for me tbh. I'm an ash blonde, with an olive undertone in my skin (thanks Eastern European ancestors), so many people think that I suit the same colours as any other blonde, but wrong, a lot of those colours wash me out badly and I look unwell. 😅 And it's not even about warm or cool colours. Navy blue looks wrong the same way a bright orange or yellow does. I learned to always choose the opposite colour version. So since muted blue looks bad, I know a bright blue will look good. Likewise, a bright orange looks bad, whereas a more muted burnt rust colour suits me. Really anything that looks good paired with olive green works on me. 🍸
Love this video!
Clicked because I have that same Sandro sweater🩷 the cutest!
Luv this video Lady Girl. Never thought of my nails as an accessory. Back to the nail salon I go. 😂
Your style is preppy and I’ve ALWAAAAAYS wanted this to look good for my body but my thick thighs said no 😭
I can relate. Even though this is Eurocentric beauty standards (it helped me to know that) and it was repeatedly brainwashed on us (oh, and also is fatphobic, so you can address these things as a problem with our society and nothing is wrong with your body- you can literally wear whatever style you like).
They now make clothing that fits in the same way, you just have to get the right cut. Usually if you see pleats at the top of pants.
I hope this helps ❤
Love you loadssss. You bring out the real person in me lol❤❤❤❤
Love your videos!!
Looking at the color of your veins doesn’t really tell whether you’re warm or cool. Mine are blue but I’m a warm spring :) I really recommend a color analysis it changes everything
it's even worse if you're not white, i spent my whole life thinking i was warm because of my green veins but i'm just chinese lmao
i figured out i was a winter by experimenting with what clothes and eyeshadow shades look better on me, i wouldn't say it's necessary to get a colour analysis unless you've taken a good hard look at yourself but are still unsure
Hey Asia, love your channel. Super wish you had a link to your articles of clothing!
Great videos, thank you
Hey i watched one of ur videos and totally loved it and i really want to watch a video on how to dress for an apple body type i just want to watch your video and no ther persons
Will be very thankful if u make one
Keep doing tbis awesome work !!❤❤❤
Jeans/pants/ maxi skirts plus Tee shirts or button up shirts, short cardigans or short jackets (not cropped!)
I love your sweater
Awesome, very informative & helpful tips Asia! 👏🙌 The issue i have is that many of the styles i like don't come in the colors that suit me (cool winter) & vice versa ie: I'll come across a gorgeous dress in the right cut, fabric, neckline, etc but its only available in pastels lol first world probs 🤣 my signature day to day are any high waisted pants, a long layer (mens style button down or kimono), sneakers & boots.
A note of caution about the vein trick: my mom and I both have green veins, but she is VERY cool-toned and I am VERY warm-toned. I'm sure the trick works for some, but maybe pair it with another technique to double check your results
OMG I love your content 💗
i love your hair and your style😍
Its so funny how my absolute favorite is the boat neckline🤣🤣
Love this! I'm warm undertone and this was so helpful. Thanks!
My selection is based on double breasted blazers, dark wash flared jeans, chunky loafers, small leather crossbody bags and tees with warm tones.
*Work edition* (since I practically live there) Deep pocket cargos, black v-neck long sleeve, puffer vest, minial graphic sweatshirt, platform black/white Vans, chunky black Steve Madden ankle boots. I have five solid gold piercings in my face to accessorize any outfit.. but I am looking to invest in a solid gold bracelet.. Thanks Asia!
Hi! Do you mind sharing what lip combo you are wearing in this video? I love!
I’m following your tips for the next time I buy clothes
It’s my second year of college this year, and I live in Korea. I’ve pondered a lot about my fashion style during the last year since a lot of styles are very similar in my country…and it seemed kinda..boring😂
I think my staples are berets, pearl and gold accesories, bun hair, tank tops, sweaters and kardigans, mini skirts and dad fit jeans
And I always like to have some kind of vibrant color at LEAST one in my outfit:)
love your blog❤
Where do you get your clothes from every video I watch there amazing ✨
Love this! Can you please do a separate video on colour analysis?
Yes that will be nice
Blazer, t-shirt, dark jeans, loafers. Casual work + comfy since I have to go office most of the time. Or else it would be hoodie, jeans, runners lol
you look gorgious in this video :-) actually, to me, i don´t want to paint a picture of myself, i want to feel it every single time and this can change from time to time. this is important when it comes to buying clothes because it might happen, that i need space for something different and only have the same items and get bored. when it comes to trousers it is hard for me to not stock up.
Both my personal and signature style revolve around trousers/pants. I wear and own more trousers/pants than dresses and skirts. I think it's important to have an anchor when developing these various styles and mine is trousers/pants.
2000s baddie fall/pastel spring color skirt with shorts underneath no collar mixed gold/sliver jewelry warm/neutral undertone crop tops jeans or baggy pants purse
I need a summer uniform. My fall/winter uniform is similar to yours. But my summer uniform needs work!
Can you make an analytical video on Ivy League/East Coast prep styles, please? 🤍
