I agree. The IR blaster is truly a very useful feature to have on a smartphone.
I use a Mi 11 Lite, and the IR blaster almost felt useless in my first year of use, until I played around with the app one day and found a setup under a different brand name that worked for my AC (initially it had only worked on the parlour TV in my family house, and I rarely watch it). My AC remote still works, but it's much more convenient to change the temperature whenever and wherever I am in my room, because my phone is almost always with me
The Redmi 12 seems decent for its price, and I might be getting it for my brother tomorrow

For me, the Redmi 12 beats the Samsung, infinix and tecno devices at this price point. Would have been nicer if the camera had OIS or EIS though.

I used to think that the redmi 12 basically just took off its whole thing from the Spark 10 pro... But after thinking of the Redmi note 12, everything about the phone from the design to its price range and even its display and most of its specs began to make sense...
It feels like a lower version of the Redmi note 12 on paper, which makes complete sense when you conpare it to the spark 10 pro which was dropped after the redmi note 12.
I use this and been driving it.... it's cool

Our Mam has the Redmi 10 and loves it this being a rebadged Redmi 10 with newer software will still be decent for a year or 2 of average use.

Am currently using a redmi note 12,but i usually experience an issue. The phone just say system is not responding, close or wait. Then i have to close and it locks the screen,then works well again
Happen once in while .I have done the 2 security update available. But didn't fix the issue

Congratulations for 100K subscribers, Izzy!! Your videos never disappoint. I personally wanted to buy the Redmi 12, but it isn't available on the market in my country, so I brought the Redmi Note 12.
The Redmi 12 is a solid budget phone and quite similar to Spark 10 Pro in almost everything, but lacks Dual SIM card slots and the 8MP selfie camera is old school
This will be my next smartphone. I will get the 8/128gb version for 170€.
But here in Germany it's sold without a charger though. I'll buy it anyway!

How do I customise the control centre on miui 14. It's not showing in the settings menu.
There's no option to customize yet, maybe in later updates

I'm yet to experience the SD chipset; because I've had my REDMI NOTE 8 PRO since 2019 September, & there's been NO SINGLE ISSUE & it runs on Mediatek G90T with 60hz refreshing speed.
I want to upgrade & that's why I'm enquiring on a phone that's similar to it but with 5G upgrade! I don't know if you can recommend any Redmi Note Pro phones that fits & yet affordable.

It depends on what Snapdragon Chipset you're comparing to what Mediatek. At the same price point, Mediatek usually offers the most powerful. Snapdragon Chipsets are more optimised but also more expensive. Both manufacturers also have poor performing Chipsets in their arsenal too

I didn't expect you to also call this a replica of the spark 10 pro when this phone has almost the same specs as the Redmi 10 which came out before the spark 10 pro and that back design is already in some of their Chinese phones since last year
There are many factors considered before tagging it replica. You're the one who chooses the Redmi 10 knowing fully well it's closer to the Spark 10 Pro than the Redmi 10 which had quad cameras, an AMOLED display and gorilla glass protection.
This matches the Spark 10 Pro not just in design, but also build quality and the memory configurations, then price.
You don't have to agree, but that's what it is. And note that devices are compared based on what's available at the same moment it was released. The Spark 10 Pro was the best value for its price before the Redmi 12 was released.
@@izziboye The Redmi 10 does not have an amoled display please, I still maintain that it's more or less a replica of the Redmi 10 and a Corning glass 3 protection is not enough reason to disagree. It can be said that they watered the phone down a little so they can compete in pricing favourably but it isn't a replica of the Tecno because there's nothing the Tecno did in that phone that Redmi has not been doing since

Can't argue with you though. While it isn't packing any features Redmi hasn't done before, same can be said for the Spark 10 Pro.
The fact remains that a manufacturer offered a device with value for a certain price and another responded with a similar device.
When someone with that budget wants to buy one it won't be the Redmi 10 they'll be contending but the Spark 10 Pro because of the similarities.

The Spark 10 Pro is the first phone for its price to pack 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Before the Redmi 12, there was no Redmi phone that offers the same at that price range. Before this year Redmi didn't even put more than 128GB on their phones under 200K
