shaking on murmur is my fav rem song. great to hear this early version, its better than the murmur outtake. laughing is good too, closer to the final version than shaking. this show has such a classic 'college radio' era vibe!

Didn't know R.E.M. was playing Wisconsin colleges back in 1982. This is a great post, and the sound is great. Way before they got big.
This is the good stuff. It's timeless. The passion in his voice. It's amazing to me the music they made. Saw them 3 times on the Green tour.
