Random amda alum here...and woah I forgot about that random field trip to John Lennons building...too funny that they are still doing that. Also, dont worry, i also cried almost every week at AMDA cuz of doubts I had about my talent...just know its all worth it.

I graduated the studio program back in 2002 (I feel so old watching this..) back then the room you’re in was considered a single... It was a tight space for one person so I can’t imagine 2 people 😬! The Stratford has elderly residents that lived in the building with students. It was very interesting! Thanks for the video! Took me back in time!

Do you find it hard to memorize so many lines? How do you do it, because I think that would be the only thing I worry about acting
AMDA is a great school but I remember the training being so brutal and the school being so expensive that it made one kid overdose himself at the strat smh. Thank God I didn’t take my life away here when I was at my lowest because I knew no one would have really cared

hello, are you in the acting or musical theater conservatory? Which BFA or Conservatory Program do you recommend?
Hey! I was wondering if there are ever any days you have to yourself- rather like a weekend just not on the weekend, I guess? I hope you understand what I’m saying. Was this just a busy week?
This was a pretty average week. It definitely gets busier, especially near finals, and after 1st semester. That being said, Sundays are usually less busy, I just had make up classes this week.
But I definitely clock about 20 hours of class and at least 20 hours of rehearsals a week.

Memorization is 5% of the work it takes into acting. Physically and mentally is the rest

I believe it is required. They have a recommendation form they want filled out. I think it's preferable to have an acting teacher fill it out, but I don't think that's required

Hey there I’m wondering does anybody have job while going to school when would you work?
Hey! Most people work for the school! I work in costumes, so I work every other week, from around 8-11pm on weekdays, and 3-9 on weekends. I don't know anyone personally who works outside of the school, but I know the school works with people to figure out a schedule. On weeks I work, I really just have to be more careful with how I schedule my rehearsals so I have time for everything, but I've found it pretty easy!

Yes indeed! I have 2 weeks left of my second semester. I did film a week in my life of acting online, so hopefully I'll get it edited shortly!! It's been a hell of a semester 😂

Tsepo M hey! I have recently been accepted into AMDA also and I was having the same issue you did! Just try and start a GoFundMe or apply for scholarships! You can find a scholarship for literally anything! Also talk to your admission counselor, they will help you soooo much if you just talk to them. I wish you the best! Praying that you will be able to go.
