- Thank you so much for watching! I would love feedback on this video and if you'd like to see more like this! Collage journaling is one of my favorite relaxing hobbies. Some people write in their spreads but I prefer to just layer papers and ephemera! I have other journals dedicated to writing.
Remember, if you're just starting out, there is no right or wrong way to journal! You also don't need "all the things". I have accumulated stationery over many years, but when I first started collage art journaling I just used things I had around my house!

I love these videos but I actually prefer real time chat instead of voice overs cause I find it really interesting to hear your creative thoughts in the process and maybe sit down and actually journal with you at the same time lol. Your spreads are absolutely gorgeous and I’m finding it very inspiring 😍
Sometimes I stamp several of the same stamp images on my paper then use decorative scissors to cut and paste the best images, bc im fussy like you!😉 I enjoyed the video, beautiful work!❤

I find a pockey tool helps to separate double-sided tape. I dont have nails to pick up.

When I watch videos I like to chill but also know a little bit of the persons thoughts. And I will DEF do an overhead angle next time, hopefully you can see even more of what I’m doing!

Thank you so much! 😍 I just change my mind sooo much that I literally complete my spread before I even start adhering! 😂 and funny enough the music was just one of the available ones iMovie had to offer, I usually choose those to avoid copyright issues but it’s called Falls by Keith Kenniff!
Was it the Deatramentis document ink that you said you use and were able to highlight over it? With what highlighter are you using? Just asking as I am using Platinum Ink and it proves not to be waterproof when I highlight over it.
love this! do you have any tips to seamlessly peel off the PET tapes? For some reason, I really struggle with that!
YESSS, YES I DO lol sorry this question excites me bc you’re not the first person who has asked! It’s hard to explain, but check out my Instagram @amandaleighplans - in my PET tape highlight I did a video showing how I do it! I told someone else that and she was like OMG yup this works so easily. the way I do it, the backing separates from it so easily and pops right off

@@annavona6437 someone once told me that they would use tools and stuff to try to separate it and it took a while to get it apart, I basically just take my finger and push along the direct edge, and kinda wiggle my finger for a second and the two just pop apart! Sometimes on suuuuper tiny pieces it’ll take me a minute to get a grip but majority of the time they pop apart right away!
@@annavona6437 I will also add that it’s super quick and easy on “name brand” PET tapes, you can tell a lot of these brands probably use the same/similar manufacturers and are of a high quality, but the only time I’ve ever had trouble was with cheap PET tapes from aliexpress. I had one that was sooo bad, I couldn’t get the backing off to save my life and I finally just threw it away LOL I was sick of it. But the major brands that are higher quality like Pion, Loi Design, Freckles Tea all peel off super easily for me with my finger on the edge wiggle trick lol!

love this hehe. random thought and not sure if this'll even work. but you cld maybe stamp the rubber stamps on some kind of vellum or acetate first, cut it out and reuse it as an overlay piece to play w arrangement in spreads along w the other journaling elements :-)
Omg ummm are you kidding me??? GENIUS IDEA!!!!!! Literally why did I never think of that, and I have so many scrap vellum pieces from printing and cutting it for my rings planner too 😱😱😱
where do you get your tape for the handmade journals?
I used to use a double sided tape roll from scrapbook.com but you can get on amazon too! But lately I’ve been using a Kokuyo glue stick - I swore off glue sticks after some didn’t work for me, but I like this one lolol. I use that on delicate pieces like handmade paper and a regular tape runner on paper pieces!
How do you order order from freckles tea?
Quite a few stationery shops carry that brand! pinky elephant craft, cheery letters, desk gems, etc. - if you Google freckles tea or search it on Etsy, a ton will come up!

I always use double sided tape for everything nowadays. Cause it’s cheaper than the glue tape 😂
It is!!! And it’s SO much easier on handmade paper than tape runners 😅 I used to rip every single piece of handmade paper I used lol
