In this video I give National League Barnet perfect facilities to see the impact an elite training and youth setup have on a non-league team. But on course, I have to do it with a twist, so welcome back Huey, Dewey and Louie!

Could the future transfer have taken them off the AI squad planner, so the AI managers won't pick them because of this?
Could it be because of the transfer to city that season could have affected their play time.
that's what i thought
This indeed, A.I. just stops seeing them as worthwhile investments and rather starts playing other prospects
@@aristaeus2514 that is interesting, AI prefer to develop players instead if winning games
This.
yes, so would you as manager tbh@@NeoArcon (higher rated players aren't a 100% win, wouldnt you pick the player you can develop?)
Those youth facilities are extremely expensive. Im sure Barnet are seriously in the red all the time.
Could be interesting to see how the 3 develop if they're set up at top clubs in 3 different countries, eg: premier league, la liga, serie A. Would co-efficiency rating or reputation of the leagues make a difference at that level. Or possibly a test of when a scout reports that a player could struggle to adapt to a new country how much that would impact development?
I like the pacing and approach you take to these videos more than others, letting it take a little more time and following little tangents that develop is more interesting
I love your work and i really like these videos. I'm so glad they aren't based on A-tributes as Jack would say and you would refute :) Please keep making all your output.
Love how Dagenham and Redbridge had Barnet as a competitive rival. Was that already in there at the start or because of the rapid ascent up the leagues together?
My thought with the dud seasons for the Barnet/Dagenham guys was that, in their last year the game maybe recognised the impending transfer and figured they'd just start preparing for life without them by phasing them out?
The game isn't that clever
Agree, and I assume their contracts were running out as well - which is where the game usually transfer lists someone who won't sign a new one.
@@freedomisslavery6840 you sure?
I always enjoy watching this kind of video Kev. I hope you keep making them 🙂
Very enjoyable Kev. Cant wait to see what Huey Dewey and Lewey do next.
I’d love you try this for a club in a location that is poor. Truro in the VNS is a really hard save as a lot of the players won’t relocate to to Cornwall without a big boy contract or fulltime
Kev I really enjoy these kinds of videos! Would like to see the three start in different countries to see if this makes any difference!
Could you give the lowest rep team in the English non-leagues, perfect EVERYTHING! 😂 players, coaches, scouts, money, facilities, stadium etc etc. See how long it takes then to win everything in the English game 😂
They would get picked apart within a few months, and then replace the players with ones closer to their reputation.
@roguereviews8141 lock them at the club for 10 years.
And make them from random small nations as well, so they'll get international football
We need kev to do a full team of youngsters with 200 potential on 1 team with max training facilities see if they get to the prem in 30 years
Id say this but instead of that do it with like 5 on one team and change the position of the players. all defensive, all attack and a mix of both.
These videos are a little bit similar to some other Fm CZcamsrs but the difference is that your Kev and extremely entertaining keep this kind of videos up on the weekend
In the last season where we looked at Barnet’s season recorded, I may be wrong, but in the final year of the experiment it said they finished 1st in the Championship. A great achievement for Barnet!
At 1st of July the new season starts. Barnet are first just because of the alphabetical order
Loved the video. Some thoughts/ideas:
Maybe run one with a quadruplet (Stewie?) who is at Man City but with a transfer out arranged, possibly to a Championship team or lower, so he can't go out on loan.
I was surprised at how slowly the facilities downgraded.
Barnet and Dagenham wouldn't have seen the £10m transfer fees as they were pre-arranged at the start of the game. You see that with other pre-arranged transfers, the money doesn't get added. I guess the way around it is to make it £10m after 1 appearance, or in instalments.
On Barnet not using their high potential youngsters - it looks like the game still values Current Ability and doesn't factor in Potential Ability all that much.
Methinks coach's attributes and training opponents ability levels are most important.
The higher up the system, the better the coaching etc
Another good watch Kev
This was really good, But I'd Like to see what difference a high Reputation Head of youth would have made to Barnet. Would be interesting to see how that interacts with a similar Head of Youth at Dag & Red so jobs for Donald and Daisy. You need to save Scrooge and Jacob for the DOF experiments.
Would be interested to see reputation vs money experiment. maybe something like vanarama south all clubs having maxed out reputation, then vanarama north maximum cash and see what happens. I wonder if reputation is more important than money.
how quick perfect coaching would develop the lads or move a non league club up the leagues?
I'd be interested to see the same experiment, however, give both national teams perfect facilities and then the differences would be a coach with the highest youth development and one with mediocre youth development to see if that plays a major difference. You touched upon the theory with Man City having awesome training facilities and a great coach vs the perfect training facilities and a national league coach.
Could explore managers: same stats different leagues, or triplets but one with max technical, one with max mental and one with max tactical
The facilities matter. So does the coaching and rep, and the control shows that.
These kinda videos are just SUPER interesting to watch! :P Mostly cus these are questions one asks oneself ALL the time, but NEVER bothers to do :P
I wonder if the reason dag and barnet managers weren't using the younglings was just because they are so BAD at noticing talent, even if it stumbles in their lap?
So, if you would BOTHER to do this again, I guess it would be to give Barnet AND Dag a pep copy? Or something along the lines. Cus them both having 1 year without injuries and NOT getting to play is just bonkers :P
Could the development may be have to do with the coaching staff & such?
More stuff like this. Awesome ⚽
Love the vids kev
Im curious to see how much of a effect good coaching staff have on young players
How much difference does the Youth Development Manager make to young players development? Do they purely influence the stats of new gens or do they continue to have an impact on the U23s?
Kev for the next Huey Dewy Louie video on the shortlist that shows them you can add in the potential and current abilities so you can see at a glance who has imporoved the most without having to go click on each and check.
I remember playing a career with originally 0,5☆ Barnet on FIFA 07, but gave them the best players in the world simulating my way through the title as a 10 year old.
So this was kind of a flashback for me
great video
Enjoyed this one Kevin laaaaaaaa
It also depends on the coaches at the clubs too
the 10 mil that disappear does not go into clubs account due to using the in game editor it's basically free money
It would be interesting perfect coaches vs perfect facilities
Louie and Huey getting the Kev treatment. "Oh you won't be with us next season? We'll play someone who will be"
I wonder if coaches with high ratings in working with youngsters could have made a difference between D&R and Barnet. Would be cool to see if both had perfect facilities, but one had much better coaches
I can't help feeling the quality of the manager would be quite impactful in these experiments. If the manager has a good developing youngsters attribute and tends to give younng players playing time - wouldn't that give the club better chance to utilize the improved facilities?
Quality of coaches and players training with maybe affecting it also?
I think in Barnet were all of the youngsters loaned out and that is why you couldnt see them
I think the players develope more when playing in more higher leagues due to the fact of the quality of the league. I've tested this myself and players develope more quickly plying higher league football
Hi Kev, what skin are you using? How do I get the CA and PA figures on the squad screen?
Great video too 👍🏻
It’s just the standard skin. You need the in game editor to display the hidden attributes.
@@lollujo Thanks mate, I'll get the editor! 👍🏻
@@lollujo An idea for some content - how about do a video on the game editors and what they can do?
You have a 100 thousand seater stadium, the twist being you can only charge £10 per ticket and £50 for Season Ticket
Its more league reputation than club reputation from Evidenced Based FM's work
I haven't got the new fm24 but one thing i hated so much in fm23. Was i worked hard to get a treble wining team with numerous starters being under 20 including the gk. I then left the club and all the under 20s were replaced with players 15 years older. I had a 20year old keeper who had made 200 appearances and he was just left to rot away after i left the club
Did you notice the one from barnet was on 300k and the one from dag+red is on 1.2k?
Experiment: a club with no strikers or centerbacks. What will they do to compensate (if anything)? Don’t let them make transfers.
Is it the low wage?
Can u edit the club philosophy to use youth academy players?
Huey wooh attempt 2 at success please
I remember a time when Kev was scathing about these sort of experiments and said he'd never do them. How times change.
I’ve always done experiments, just not as many as I’m doing now. But CZcams in general has been moving away from long series of daily content for years, I have to move with the times…
Blind prediction time. Barnet probably have a ceiling of League One but I reckon they'll be in League Two when their triplet leaves. Dagenham will still (not the Reims manager 🤣) be in the National League.
As for the triplets - Man City > Barnet > Dagenham. I don't think playing time will have that big of an impact, and City triplet might even go out on loan, as he doesn't have a transfer pre-arranged.
lol I'm playing a Barnet save right now
Transfers arranged do affect play time
Try starting them all at the same club but 1 fat 1 thin 1 normal. then 1 tall 1 short 1 normal that would be interesting to see
How did the England team do globally with these english wonderkids coming through?
Manager change perhaps?
Could they have stopped playing them because their squad status is only Breakthrough prospect
Do these perfect facilities cost Barnet a fortune to maintain every season? Would explain their player sales all the time.
Would they stop playing them because they are off to a big club? Why put time & money in to developing someone who is already leaving? That sort of thought process?
I wonder what would happen if you gave one team perfect training facilities and staff, but 1 youth production, and another one top youth facilities and coaches, but 1 for training. Would the greater training allow "lesser" youngsters to produce more than having "better" youngsters coming in but not being able to develop much.
I think it’s because there on low wages as daft as it seems the ai picked higher paid players ?
Give the triplet at the worst club 20 work rate as well as determination
Is it fair that Huey played for Dagenham and Redbridge??? 🎉😂
International matches ?
He did a youtube
Maybe they don't want to give playing time to someone that's leaving?
The only reason they would stop playing them is because they have an immediate transfer arraigned. there is no other reason why they would do that.
Could be because they dont have contracts
Round 3 with the twins? Man city poor coaches, dag and red average coaches, Barnett perfect coaches
Concerning not playing their leaving players: Might be the AI takes them leaving into consideration? Really? No, don't think so. :)
So no explanation I could offer, sorry.
I wonder if it's to do with the future transfer ... Don't want them getting injured ... ...
Love how they're still on £50 a week in league 1 🤣🤣
Kev
This shows the ai is very dumb basically with developing players and its why i find the further into saves you go the more ridiculous some signings are with barca and madrid allowing loads of future stars to go who they could actually use but the ai sees their current potential so benches them foe a 37 year old
To be fair that also happens irl. That's why it is pretty rare that a player breaks through a top club.
his contract has ran out
It's still not clear to me how you get a National League team perfect facilities?!? Is this something you can adjust when you first join a team as new Head Coach??? :(
In the editor
Leave some for poor little TomFM Kev!
Wow these experiments dealt show how broken the game is with the AI. Shocking. SI should be ashamed. Was never this bad in much older versions. And the reason they played less that last season could be to do with they were leaving at the end of the season and managers didn’t pick them as much but but sure.
Original
Seems like playing time doesn't matter at all below 19 years old.
The reason Dagenham and Rwdbridge were able to keep pace with Barnet is because they were cheating. You see, perfect facilities can't combat playing two football clubs at once, with both Dagenham AND Redbridge.
World Player of the Year isn't the Balon D'Or
Stop playing
Also you are getting dangerously close by looking so close to what we all know which is that we are playing a spreadsheet. The reason you have a job is because you are hugely interesting and make stories. But if you push this stuff much further you are going to break the Emperor's New Clothes of your own success.
