- James Kleinmann interviews legendary Director Woody Allen for his movie Blue Jasmine which stars Cate Blanchett Alec Baldwin and Sally Hawkins.
Plot: After her marriage to a wealthy businessman (Alec Baldwin) collapses, New York socialite Jasmine (Cate Blanchett) flees to San Francisco and the modest apartment of her sister, Ginger (Sally Hawkins). Although she's in a fragile emotional state and lacks job skills, Jasmine still manages to voice her disapproval of Ginger's boyfriend, Chili (Bobby Cannavale). Jasmine begrudgingly takes a job in a dentist's office, while Ginger begins dating a man (Louis C.K.) who's a step up from Chili.

Just finished watching Blue Jasmine... absolutely fantastic. Brilliant writing again from the incomparable Woody Allen. This may well be the finest performance from Kate Blanchett I've ever seen. Sally Hawkins was once again terrific as well.

I have always liked Woody Allen. No one has the same style. He sounds different here. Getting thin in the voice. Getting old, and it looks good on him.

Non so perché, ma Woody spende per Cate Blanchett elogi di convenienza, è molto formale e abbastanza distaccato quando parla di lei nel suo film ,mentre per altre attrici meno brave come Scarlett Johansson è prodigo di elogi.....mah forse è troppo "prima donna"e lui vuole attrici più compiacenti. Può essere.......
