The only reason (and people who watched MMA for a long time know this) why George did so well, was because being a well rounded fighter (very good at striking AND grappling) was something almost non-existent in early MMA fights, you were either a striker or a grappler, this is why George was successful, not because Firas Zahabi whom literally hasn't even had a single fighter even touch the belt except George, only Rory McDonald contended for it but lost.
Which is also why he retired in his prime at 32, when he lost (clearly) to Johnny Hendrix but was saved by the judges, people caught up to him. And he ONLY came back for the perfect (weakest) champion which was one eyed Bisping who wasn't known to be a KO artist, or a good grappler, perfect opponent for George to pad his record with another belt and prove he is the GOAT while not really :) not by a long shot.
He didn't come back when Weidman was champ, he didn't come back when Rockhold was champ, both being extraordinary grapplers and Luke also had good striking. He avoided them to fight one eyed Bisping, a belt holder with one of the lowest finish rates and not good grappling....GOAT my arse :))
