NO DOUBT this is an EXCALLENT robot vacuum. I've had mine for 4 weeks, it runs every morning. vacuums 6 days and vacuums & mops on the 7th. It NEVER gets clogged up in obstacles. We have mostly hard wood, tile with area rugs and bath mats, all no issues. Three cats, two humans with long hair and all work just fine! We live in a Colorado pine forest, this time of year the pines produce massive amounts of pollen. So much the black top drive way looks like it was painted yellow. Not a speck is left on the floor, dusting is a different matter! Worth every penny!
Thank you for the review. I have Dreame L10s ultra and I love it except the fact it cant automatically vacuum without the mop pads. When I use vac+mop at once, the wet mop pads catch pet hair and then the hair is everywhere especially the base station is full of it. So once I can level up my robot, this one is my choice. :)
Not even lying, the X40 Pro Ultra was released in China. It has a retractable lidar sensor so it goes down when it senses the height of something is low, like under the bed.
The X40 looks amazing. How well does the self-cleaning base really work and how much maintenance of it is needed. That's the one thing about our L10S Ultra that is a pain. With our usage, it reallly needs to be cleaned weekly.
Great review, you should check out the Eufy X10 pro, it offers most of these features at half the price of the Dreame X40. You should also check out the Narwal Freo Ultra, it's another flagship robot.
Looks fantastic except for one thing - it doesn't use the side brush on carpets. If you only have rugs then fine but for rooms with wall-to-wall carpeting it isn't going to get into the corners or edges. I really think Dreame should have made using the side brush on carpets an option maybe on a room-to-room basis. From some other stuff I've seen I think there might be a workaround. There is a setting in the "Carpet Settings" page of the app called "Ignore" which if set to on will make the X40 use the side brush on carpets but as I understand that setting it is global so needs to be used with extreme care to make sure you don't end up accidentally mopping your carpets. With the setting on I think you need to do the vacuuming and the mopping in separate runs with all the mopping of hard floors done first then go back to the dock to drop off the mop pads before going back out to do the vacuum-only on all the carpeted areas. If I've understood correctly how it all works then I think that will work for me so the X40 is probably the one I'll get but I still wish Dreame fully supported the use of the side brush on carpets, even if it is only for the perimeter sweeps which is where it really matters, rather than having to resort to workarounds.

Dude I have missed the vacuum reviews. I’m glad this popped back up in my feed ❤️
Hey you also forgot to mention that shark robot vacuum that was your favorite 🤩
Thanks a few more on the way there just isn’t as many available that are new.
I can't wait to try mine out in my new house.

I love my X40. It’s been great.
So many new models. I'll wait for X50 next week.
So true and then they’ll mark the X40 down from $1800 to $999 😂
You mean the X60? The X50 came out 20 mins ago. The X60 is an updated version of the X50 with all the bugs ironed out.

Wow. I bought the l20 ultra. Wish I would have waited. Although my l20 does a good job. I must add that Dreame's customer service has been awesome. 😊
I really need a robot vac that pics up hay. Have small exotic pets and the hay gets everywhere.

Thanks, I have them both. working on reviews now.
Do you recommend this instead of vacuuming or in conjunction? How do you feel it cleans compared to vacuum mop like a Bissell?
Dis you try the heated water? I dont realy find any video wher they acctuly try it.
Dang, I may end up getting this vacuum. Mad because my Omni X1 isn’t even a year old.
you should have made a better decision in the first place, Ecovacs is quite trash, even an iRobot would have been better
Meanwhile, iRobot is still sleeping...
Right. I wish they would just go out of business lol.

Now you got ketchup and liquid in the brusches and inside the vaccum.... NOT GOOD!
