⚔️ 黒崎一護は普通の高校生ですが、人間の魂を貪り食おうとする悪霊「ホロウ」に家族が襲われます。 そこで彼は朽木ルキアという死神と出会い、一護の家族を襲撃者から守って負傷してしまう。 家族を救うため、一護はルキアの力を奪うという申し出を受け入れ、その結果として死神となる。

When Soi Fon gives you the "approval hmph" you know you're about to do something badass.
Soifon is the soul society version of Halibel, but with bad personality. They both keep taking massive Ls throughout the series, despite "supposedly" being powerful.
Soi fon is soo underrated, she is one of the fastest shinigamis around, one of the best in hand to hand combat and her shikai is one of the coolest and deadliest. Thanks to her shikai, you cannot fight a battle of attrition with her. Each certain kill strike that she misses gives her another target to hit. Just like yoruichi in her fight against her..and she is supposed to "faster or somewhat equal" than Soifon.
There's a crucial weakness people usually miss about Soifon's shikai. Kubo created Bleach power system with a pretty simple, but great concept - there's a limit to your "hax" abilities, that is determined by difference of your reiatsu and that of the target. This is the reason Soifon is unable to kill Aizen with her double-tap. And this is something that is established pretty early on, i think the first with Kenpachi's introduction.
The other weak spot is, ironically, highlighted in this very same battle - she is very vulnerable because her shikai forces her to be in extreme melee. Touch distance and "sword range" are very different things.
So if the target is bigger reiatsu-wise, faster, or has anything that specifically punishes close-range (Hi there Barragan, again) - she is in a very bad spot.
Fortunately, this is exact reason why her bankai is an IBM. It quite literally exact opposite of her shikai - limits her movement, has great range, forces her to keep that range from target, and turns double-tap into one-hit-kill (with a rare exceptions, high Barragan, again).
So once again, it's not being powerful - she has very specific set of skills, that if pitted against targets that fit her set, would turn battle into joke. As you can see in this very video. This is why, because it's not just some sort of simulation, but an anime/manga, which has to be entertaining, author pits her against targets that are either equal-ish (Yoruichi) in the same set of skills, or force her to change the approach (Barragan, BG9).

Or that she wouldn't take her time fighting when her shikai has an advantage in a speed battle.
Or that she would just do 2 quick jabs in the same spot.
Or simply not speak and do any of the above.
That's a bleach issue in general, they don't need to tell each other what their abilities are, but Tite Kubo for whatever reason won't let us learn how their powers work as the battle is happening.

What is kido type zanpakuto and has this guy bankai?
Basically kido is the “magic” of this world. U have physical bankai that boost ur strength and agility or the zanpakuto just takes a new shape with an ability that destroys things (or it creates a physical construct) like ichigo, renji and the dog captain
Kido based would be like hitsugaya, the head captain
There was some would argue that because their keto type zanpakuto take on physical manifestation in their realm it would make them a physical type but that is simply for argument's sake. Soi Fon's bankai is nothing
