- Tap dancing is part of Irish culture. The Gardiner Brothers of Galway merge traditional Irish dance with pop music. The result? Millions of clicks and the sound of heels and toes tapping. What inspires this award-winning duo? And how are these two American-born Irishmen bringing Irish dancing to the TikTok generation? We caught up with Michael and Matthew in Dublin to find out.

Love the brothers, they are absolutely great dancers. This is one good thing that came out of the pandemic.
It's just a brilliant chemistry of physicality, musicality and joy of it all. Thanks always Gardiner brothers 🙏 ❤
Found their first by accident, and I luv watching these brothers.
Wait. They're not twins? :O So much fun to watch them, with the various backdrops and musical styles.
No, they're not, but others have thought the same thing. Although in one of the earlier videos it was stated there was 2 years between them. Then in another video there was a 3 year age difference and now 4 years. At this point who knows. Have a great day. 😊😊😊
. It's 2 years
Older Australian here who's grandad was Irish. Love ya dancin guys 👍👍👍
So much talent ❤
Love the Gardiner brothers. Thanks for this video
Marvelous.....enjoying every moment
I'd love to see the brothers collaborate with a master Malambo dancer
Beyonce NEEDS these brothers!! (:
I would love to see Beyoncé sing this live with the lads dancing around her 😁
"American born" might be technically true but those lads are as Irish as it gets. More Irish than eating tayto sandwiches in front of Bosco without a television licence.
So Irish American then like they said
I p😅sitively love to watch you.
They are Americans who have taken their Irish roots to a whole new level. They are from Denver, Colorado.
Lucky Denver!!!
@karenmurphy6028 Very Lucky! Now we get to promote them when Aer Lingus starts flying 3 days per week direct flights Dublin to Denver on 20 May 2024.
They were born in CO but grew up in Ireland
@melodyszadkowski5256 aye, they were finished being raised in Ireland. They spent a good time in Denver, too.
It's not Irish tap dancing, it's just Irish dancing
