      Can you ping me link for AWS SA guide , I signed up but till now I didn’t get any email. These sessions are extremely helpful for Cloud Architects to enhance their knowledge and how to attend interview.

      @@aireddy it typically takes 15 minutes from the time someone submits the form until the time our servers send an email.
      If it’s been more then 15 minutes then send an email to elitetechcareers@gmail.com and someone will send you one

    Nice but there are a lot of things which could an interviewer ask for example:
    1- microservices architecture
    2- databases replication
    3- api implementation
    4- serverless computing
    5- infrastructure as code
    6- platform as service
    7- IAM
    6- S3
    7- cloudfront
    8- waf
    But in this you have covered majorly networks

    • @GoCloudArchitects
      @GoCloudArchitects  Před 2 lety +1

      We have almost 20 videos which cover other things
      But architects design, present and sell so they don’t implant anything
      So we don’t do infrastructure as code, api implementation of anything that’s other careers like cloud engineers
      We also don’t discuss waf because we need enterprise security
      This means next generation firewalls not WAF
      We teach people how to secure systems for real, not what’s taught in a junior level certification like the AWS certified solutions architect professional

    I enjoyed the video and one thing i really enjoyed is the breaking up each topic into a list of examples in comparison to a on prem environment to what would be is cloud environment example. I think this started the line of questioning and thinking to allow for the focus on how to put an answer together.

    Michael great to have a reminder of what the Greeks described as the "first principles", the main building blocks of the Cloud.
    I would assume these may likely be the entry level questions to break the ice.
    Can you also include any questions on EC2 machines under General Purpose, Storage, Memory etc from someone from the non-server background does present challenges. In addition relating structured, semi-structured and unstructured data to related databases?
    In addition to knowing these building blocks do, I can envisage a situation where an interviewer paints a scenario and ask you to discuss how you will make the environment more cost effective, more secure and highly available/ redundant. The kind of question where there is no obvious right or wrong, but these questions may ask us to justify the trade-offs or compromises we make as an architect.

    • @GoCloudArchitects
      @GoCloudArchitects  Před 3 lety

      Akwo. Excellent suggestion.
      Funny I’m from a Greek family so no wonder fist principles feel so natural to me.

    Hi Mike! Great videos! Can you help me to clarify how much coding skills are usually required as an cloud architect?
    I learnt coding in university but haven’t get much hands on experience since then

    • @GoCloudArchitects
      @GoCloudArchitects  Před 3 lety +2

      It’s a great question. A real cloud architect is a customer facing position. Where you will interact with a companies executives and learn their business goals, technical, business and leaks requirements. Then they will design a solution. Then they turn the solution to a team of cloud engineers to build it. So one could be a cloud architect with no coding skills. And I know many of them.
      Now is you wanted to do devops then coding would be necessary. But devops is not a cloud architect.
      Now for sysops it would be very beneficial to be competent in python and other scripting languages. But that is sysops which is not a cloud architect.
      There is a lot of confusion in the industry on these roles and in job descriptions. I hope I helped clear it up for you. I will release a new CZcams video on this topic tomorrow.

    • @GoCloudArchitects

      Zack. No one starts an expert. It took 25 years for me to be at this level.
      But that’s the difference between certification training and cloud architect training.
      That’s why we do what we do. To take people from certified to hired.
