Coming from a guy who primarily enjoys his grind and death metal... I quite enjoy me some Aqua, and am always quick to let people know anytime a song comes up. If someone is gonna do bubblegum pop music, do it right and go full bore with it -- Aqua always knew what was up! This was always my favorite video/song from the group as a kid. Thanks for the memories!

Aqua is so underrated. Their whole angle was that they were intentionally parodying the superficiality of teenage pop music. In doing so they were actually more intelligent then half of other performers.

That's why I've always liked them. I bought their first two CD's without any kind of guilt, because I knew what they were about. They were also very dirty for a group that were aimed at pre-teens and children in the states. LOL The US market just didn't get them.

pavel brodskiy Barbie Girl is the weakest song on the album. There are maybe two-three songs on the whole thing that aren't as good as the rest. The album holds up surprisingly well in 2015.

Aqua is underated, the Bubblegum pop / Bubble Dance style too. This was such a weird CD when it came out. I couldn't get enough of it though. Barbie Girl playing on the radio took everyone by surprise.

Ahhh Man, the days of 1997, This one song takes me waay back; because that was the year my dad bought me a brand spanking new black IBM Aptiva Windows PC. My sister would always put her music CDs into it, and Aqua, was no exception. I would always fight with her for the computer, the internet, (internet and phone were a constant struggle) because I had homework, and got used to doing it on the computer, and I always loved playing Mechwarrior Mercenaries afterward.

easily Aqua's best song imo. Anyways, I was always a much bigger fan of music from the 80's, 70's and early early 90's(Think technotronic), it went down hill during the mid to late 90's(the onslaught of boy/girl bands was horrible) but aqua was the shniz! at least with their first album....

Why do people dis this music for not being a deep cut? It's frikking hilarious dance music! It's not meant to relate to the meaning of life or give you a reason to slit your wrists. It's meant to make you smile, dance and have a good time. It did exactly that and still does whenever someone plays it in a dance club.

They were ahead of their time. I’d say LMFAO came in during the early 2010’s and perfected this style of dance music. I’d also say Black Eyed Peas would fit in that convo too if the comedy aspect wasn’t in the subject.
