Keen wearer for a decade and I’ve never worn mine out where you did. That’s crazy! Thank you for the video. Was trying to see if Hokas we good. Great video.

I recently got a Hoka Hopara and it's a game changer. Hope it lasts a long long time.

I had an old pair of keens. Lasted for years. Recently I got a new pair and my feet both have a rash after wearing them. Just at the top of the foot. Will look into Hoka. Thanks.

Thanks for this review. I'm exactly at this place between these two for use in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Because we have so many portages in and out of water, I am leaning toward the waterability of the Hokas. The durability factors are important to me. They become a cost-effective element over time. No doubt Keen is an excellent company. We see Keen Sandals everywhere. But I think I'm going to spring for the Hoka Hoparas. Thanks again!

You bring up some good points as I too am a longtime Keen wearer. You give me some great points to consider. Thanks

Watching the video because I've had two pairs of the Keen Newport sandal and have had terrible luck. The sole of each sandal have come unglued and I have also had issues with the sandal tearing at the same point as you all under a year. A positive to Keen though they gave me a full warranty both times and I just stopped ordering the Newport. I like the NXIS shoe I bought instead. Looking forward to trying the Hoka Hopara out.

    Nice review!
I was wondering which sandals should I buy and can’t really make the choice, since I don’t have any of them. Thanks.

I've had one pair of the original Keen Newport version wear out at the heel as shown, but I have 3 pairs of the Newport H2 sandals and they haven't worn out at all. I live in Texas and the colors will fade after everyday use in just over a year but won't look shabby for closer to 3 years. ABout 4-5 years ago, there was a wave of knock off Keens that hit the market and my wife bought a pair unknowingly, off of Ebay. They looked very real and quite nice at first until they gave her rub marks or maybe even a rash like abrasions on her feet so we cold washed them 3X and that worked until the size badge, name badge and inner sole started delaminating. Soon after the stitches started unraveling and the soles came apart. She fought with Ebay and won her return and refund, so she replaced them with authentic Keen sandals and they've been perfect for almost 2 years and she wears them daily around the ranch. So if you're having the same issues I listed, they very well could be fakes because they're still selling them everywhere.

Strange, my KEEN's never wears out where you specified! It's usually around the soles that over time mine will start to break off. Anyway, I was wondering if you had any feedback on the HOKA's ability to wear in water (river, sea)??? Thanks for your reviews.

It's weird to me. I'm not a fan of Hoka it's overrated. Folks that own them told me how long the comfort lasts, and it's no better than any other new shoe over $120 dollars.
