I'm so happy to see your Jacklyn us making a comeback! 😊 As far as curtisii, it's thirstier than you would think for a hoya. I put both mine in self-watering with a wick, in soil still, and they're drying out left and right! So I took cuttings and decided to skip stratum and put them in a cup, no drainage. I copied Kevin (hakuna la planta) and kept the water level high until I started seeing roots and then eased up, leaving a reservoir of 1/3 of water. Yay! Success.
@@aprilbrooks I've heard this too but there's actually this rare staghorn nursery that Onlyplants featured on his channel recently that leaves lights on 24 hours a day and the plants are thriving. April, your plants are gorgeous keep doing what you do!
You definitely have a green thumb.. No you have Golden hands. Girl you are the truth. You can cut the hell out of a plant and then they grow back more more beautiful. ❤

That curtsii is done for 🤣 I still have it potted though hoping for a miracle - my big Jacklyn just started putting out a leaf, I’m soooo excited!!
My Jacklyn just gave me a 2nd leaf… they are still pretty small leaves but cute! Still excited!

Hi, It is not necessary to leave the grow light on 24/7 because plants need to have at least 8 hrs of darkness to "sleep".

Fluval dries out fast, and seems to absorb back water from the plant when it dries. Maybe that’s why the Hoya leaf fell off.

My Hoya curtisii also died….i tried to prop it, but by the time it died…it’s ended up being a plant that I never want again 😂
