  • Most financial organizations, banks, insurance companies, retailers, and governments need systems that must flawlessly handle huge volumes of transactions every day. Mainframes have been quietly managing this process for decades as their reliability, availability, security, scalability, and performance are unparalleled. While these core systems run Java, Python, and other languages, part of these core systems is COBOL, a reliable, proven programming language that has helped run some of the most mission-critical services applications at the world’s largest companies. The OMP COBOL Programming Course aims to educate and train the next generation of COBOLers.

Can someone please give me access to a mainframe? I choose COBOL in 1989 under DOS 3.3 (over DBase III +, which rest of my classmates choose as they feared COBOL compiler errors) but ah never got my hands on a mainframe.

Very strange to have adverstiment but no simple and easy way to get access. What is the point? (The advertiment is ok but you usually have some link in the MORE section so you can link and join in. Not here. Strange.
