The magical island of Hoy is home to a very famous wee bird and a very famous old man.

- We're off on another boat trip as we sail from the Orkney mainland to the stunning Island of Hoy. Once we arrive we head to the picturesque Rackwick Bay where we take a wander up to the Old Man of Hoy to go looking for puffins.
We also check out a magical 5000 year old carved stone, hear the sad story of Betty Corrigan and have a look for traces of a wartime past.

All our videos are hand made from 100% organic ingredients ;). Our content is mostly filmed on a GoPro 11 with a Rode fluffy microphone to keep the wind noise down, with occasional bits on an iPhone13. We also use a DJI Mini 3 drone which we're loving getting to grips with.
We make our own music using GarageBand and the videos are edited in iMovie.

It was pretty bleak in there but I guess not many windows to keep the cold and wind out. Glad we all got to see the Puffins.! What stunning views - even in the mist. Love the wee museum houses, I think seeing them in the dark like that shows just how grim it must have been, especially in a storm! I've only ever seen one puffin in the wild and that was whilst waiting for the ferry back to Portsmouth from Gosport lol. Purchased one of your digi pics of the puffins last week, looking forward to printing & framing it 🙂

Other youtuber's have shown their trips to Hoy, walked around a bit, got back on the Ferry and called it a day. You folks took this to the limit and brought so much Joy with your trip to Hoy. A Cliff Hike to see the Old Man himself, braved the mud and wild sheep. Set the bar high on this one. At 14:34 that is sheep wool stuck in a dandelion thing, yes?
The fluffy plants? That’s what I thought but no, I think that’s the way they are.

I hoped to find crochet items in the store hint hint. I hearted 2 things so when I can i will buy them. Great gifts buy 1 for me give 1 to family. Puffins are so interesting. Zoomies De Niro ! My grandson wants a DeNiro. Your channel is interesting and shows Scotland places I have not been yet. My Grandfather was born in Scotland. Next trip my cousin 82 and i 74 will be doing the trek.

I’ve never been there so at least I saw them on Orkney.

That mist/fog closed in quickly. I was worried when I saw where Bex and DeNiro were. And you saw the puffins. They’re adorable even if they gave you a poo(r) review. 😅
It was surprising how quickly it thickened. Good job theres a well marked path all the way along there.
Our efforts to see puffins on Orkney were about as successful as yours were, up until the end when you saw the cuties for real. I took zoomed in pics of birds on the water in the rain on our ferry ride, and when you zoom waaaay in on the photo, you can just tell that one is a puffin. 🙄
