It was fascinating seeing that Leica and your description of it's features. Definitely a beautiful and robust piece of machinery. Great find.
My last two pickups at fleamarkets: 1st Canon EOS 10D with Canon EF 24-85mm F:3,5-4,5 lens a battery and charger for 40€, 2nd a Sony Alpha A57 with a Minolta 24-105mm F:3,5-4,5 + skylight Filter on it a battery and charger for 20€. BothCameras are working fine!
Hot dang that A57 is a killer deal! I love the natural color output of the Sony A5_ and a7_ Alpha DSLR line.
@@pricklypearcamera9151 And the A57 hase made only 13925 shots!
Interesting to learn from your knowledge
The Leica was a great find, I always wanted one of those series of cameras. They are quite expensive over here in the UK, around $500 plus for a good one! Love watching your videos.
Thanks for watching! Hopefully more in the future, and appreciate you watchin' from across the pond!
A d2!! Damn.. dont underestimate that thing. Thats basically the original Q. Fantastic lens!!
Yep, it really is!
I still use my Digilux 2 camera, but note: max 2 GB SD card. It's slow, but delivers stunning results.
Good callout! I forgot to mention the SD size limitation on it.
Another fun video. That Leica seemed to be a good find, but I was excited to see the Powershot S5. I still use one occasionally, and it was the one that really got me going in photography this year. Great looking jpegs, but very unforgiving if you get the iso setting wrong. Looking forward to seeing what you've got on the table next week, thanks again.
Thanks for watching!
The bounce flash on the Leica is very cool but it's so small I question its value. As someone who used to use a 35mm camera shoe mounted external flash that could pivot up, those were very powerful flash units that had the wattage to bounce off a ceiling. By the way, for anyone who has never used any type of bounce flash it was always used indoors because outdoors, there's nothing to bounce off of. Bounce flash pictures were used a lot in studio portrait work as the bounce nicely diffused the subjects face, especially female ones.
The Leica is beautiful! The Nikon S8200 looks great too - can't wait to see that listed on your eBay!!! I'm interested 🙂
Thanks for watching! I just listed that S8200 a moment ago on eBay...
@@pricklypearcamera9151 snagged it! :-)
a Leica!! next level there 🙂
and that Nikon at 13:00 looked mint
I found my first ever DSLR, a Nikon D3100 with 18-55 kit lens I bought in 2012, up in my loft the other day. Still working and the battery still holds a charge. I honestly thought I'd sold it so it was a nice surprise finding it up there 🙂
listening to your brother's story brought back some unhappy but funny memories from a long stay I had in hospital a few years ago. I'd developed a fever at night and the doctors were concerned so wanted some bloods taken. a junior doctor was dispatched but after (and I kid yoiu not) 17 attempts at drawing blood gave up. a phlebotomist was then called who got the blood out first time. painful but I can laugh now!
Very cool, always cool to find something you haven't seen in a while! Wonder what the shutter count is on it? Sorry to hear about your blood draw experience, that sounds like a living nightmare to have so many repeated attempts!
@@pricklypearcamera9151 3146 🙂 I used the camera for around 15 months
Where are you located in Arizona? I like watching your channel, I've seen some good cameras on your channel that you've shared. I live in SE AZ. Not far from Tombstone.
Nice! I live just outside of Tucson
The sensor might degrade over time, I have one, no output 😞
Bummer! Sorry to hear that
It's been a while. Hope everything is ok.
Doing well, thanks! Just going through a late spring cleaning inventory wise, and also took a trip recently, hope to have some videos out shortly!

do you have a giveaways???
Not currently, but hopefully in the future!
