If Stephen could walk us through the other aspects no one talks about, like customers inserting sooooooo much text into the boxes that it can't fit our design, things unexpected like that, that would be amazing... Like actual real life scenarios, and how to avoid, mitigate and minimize these problems from happening. I find that personalization sounds easy but practically it really is quite painful to be constantly back and forth with customers, some of which can be too nitpicky?
I let the customer know how many characters they have to work with, ie. 20 characters as an example. I do this for my jewelry shop and don't have issues, so will probably be the same for this.
Good info in addition to the tutorial! I'd heard of Hello Custom elsewhere & am looking forward to using it as my shop scales. Thanks for making it, Stephen!
Could you make a video explaining print area pix , dpi , resolutions for T-shirt’s mugs ornaments wall arts gives by printify and how to download canva and than hello custom . Thanks
Great video! The HelloCustom docs indicate there is an issue using PDF files from Kittl, in that they need to be submitted minus the personalization fields, and the details need to be input manually. Has this been addressed yet? Thanks for this product!
@@Kittldesign do you know how that is done? I use the text decoration and shading so are we essentially remaking our text design in hello custom? I cannot remake the text decoration etc. to match the rest of my other text that is not personalized... and now i have to go and deactivate all my etsy listings i uploaded already because I cannot figure it out. I was so excited too... I wanted to get so much done but now a waste of time and money. I use kittl for everything! I just wish their was a video on how to do it from kittl.
I’m having the same issue. I even tried to use the new Canva feature Magic grab text, to made a separate text box and it does, but then the font get lost. It is disappointing to have to make so many steps for something that it supposed to simplify things.
It happens! It can be for a number of reasons, but don't give up! You can either appeal your shop or open another one, but we would definitely encourage you to keep reaching out to find out why they closed the shop. Cheers!
What Drew said. This is very common, but if you did nothing wrong, it should be back live within a couple of weeks. Just make sure you open a case to start this process.
the pdf file under Kittl cannot be used to Hello customer as it is a flatten file.this was the answer from kittl customer.and also HC Does only videos using canva.
Hey there! There are a few methods actually, for using Kittl with Hello Custom, one would be to export your design as a PDF from Kittl without the text, and use a different tool (or simply acrobat itself) to add the text to your design, because the fonts available for editing in Hello Custom would need to be the same fonts in your design. We can't guarantee that fonts in Kittl would work in Hello Custom, so for the moment, text is flattened upon Export.
@@Kittldesign Well I guess this is the straw that will break the camel's back, in my case. I just signed up with HC a short time ago and JUST started to go through my ENTIRE shop on Etsy ... upload my designs from Kittl to my computer in PDF form ... only to NOW discover that they do NOT work on HC because the PDF's from Kittl aren't compatible. It's my understanding that NOW I have to RE-upload them WITHOUT the fonts ... then add them in, AFTER! TOO MUCH EXTRA WORK! I'm already frustrated with Kittl's so-called customer service. I had a VERY simple problem, and after OVER AN ENTIRE WEEK of conversing with customer service, they STILL could NOT figure it out! They kept telling me that would get their "dev team" to look into it! I finally figured it out ON MY OWN!!! THIS mess has led me to the fact that I have to END my paid membership with Kittl and go back to Canva. I really hate it, because I like Kittl better ... but THIS is a real game-changer! Sorry Kittl ... I have had ENOUGH!
When everyone jumps on the personalization trend, then we be back at square one where we won't stand out, but the profits will be less to pay for the personalization.
Personalization is still one of the harder aspect of print on demand to keep up with. You still have to manage and maintain it, so the more difficult something is to do, the viewer people will do it.
@@Kittldesign makes sense, but how long until someone completely automates it, including sending proofs to the customer and having the customer accept and move the production forward, all without any need for seller interaction.
True in theory, but I don't think everyone will offer personalization for their own reasons. You are also hearing about this while HelloCustom is brand new. So, you do have an advantage over the millions of other Etsy sellers who don't know we exist yet 🙂
I believe the currently integration with with solely Etsy, but I know Stephen is making strides to have Shopify available soon. He talks about this at the end of the video.

You can set a limit in etsy for characters
@@P-Funk69 Thanks so much all!! really appreciate it
@@Bekind95I also set a 20 character limit in my personalization text box
This was by far the most motivating video for me to start personalizing products... Thanks a lot, Drew and Stephen! 👍👍👍
Cheers, and best of luck!
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much Drew! It was amazing connecting and talking personalization for Etsy!
Absolutely! Thank you for the amazing conversation!
This demo just blew my mind. Can't wait to use this
Glad to hear it!

Hey there, we can make a video like this, but we would use Kittl, our own software.
Stephen how are you selling ornaments on amazon bc printify is not integrated there and I don’t think Printful offers them. Thanks
We currently do our own production, but Printify should have their Amazon integration live shortly after Q4

We are currently looking into solutions for this, but for now, the personalized text needs to be added after the fact. Cheers!

is it possible to automize products with custom pictures uploaded by the customers
That would probably require more back-end redesign work, as we believe Hello Custom is primarily made for quickly editing text input.
Hello Custom is Holocaust in closed caption/subtitle
We will check on the captions. Thanks.
