    Just awesome stuff. I really need to do some wide field starfield time lapses.

    With a wide angle lens, you don't need to track the stars with 30 sec. exposures. The stars may streak slightly if you look real close, but you don't notice it on the timelapse, or you look real close at the stills.

    Thanks, In a few months, you will see the full video. That is mostly satellites at :14 and was in June. I have caught some meteors, the best weren't during Persied's though.

    Canon 5D Mark II and Mark III cameras and various Canon and Zeiss lenses. I will have all of that info when the full video is released. I didn't use any filters.

    In a 30 second exposure, yes.

    If you don't have too long exposure or a zooming lens the stars will appear as this. 30 seconds or less exposure at 18mm

    Me too, but budget is making me think of building one.

    I don't know why, but I figured that something was shot with it. Actually I do know why. Color and sharpness you don't get with anything Canon offers. Good stuff!

    You can see it, but it isn't that bright to the eyes. It is a 30 second exposure for each frame.

    Distagon T* 21mm??? I just got one and I cut my eye ever every time I download a raw file it's so sharp!
    I'm looking forward to seeing the rest

    Great stuff Randy- the clips is too short though :) ... by the way, at the 14 second mark, are they the Perseid Meteors? Cheers

    Amazing man!... One question, How do you make the Movement effect? Just moving the tripod every X images taken>/?

  • @dakotalapse
    @dakotalapse  Před 11 lety

    That is a crescent moon, not the sun.

  • @Olaf177
    @Olaf177 Před 11 lety

    How did you get that shot starting a 0:05 ..I mean how were you able to capture the stars while the sun was still shining very bright? Do you have to use a special kind of camera for that or special filters? Would be really glad if you could reply.
