- When we process the side of a large board or use a long drill bit, the normal drill press is difficult to work with.
To make this easier, I made horizontal drilling equipment with worm gear and adjustable height.
I made it easy to fix the board with a special type of clamp.
I think it will be very useful for the side processing of large boards.
Please pay attention to how to secure the drill, the adjustment to zero, the clamp to secure the board, and the use of a worm gear to adjust the height.
I think it can be used in many ways.

You can go to a junk yard and find a drum brake. They're made of cast and would make a nice base for your drill press.

J'invente depuis longtemps. J'aime regarder les rôles des machines et des pièces. Je possède également une vingtaine de brevets, dont certains ont été transformés en produits. Les œuvres que je réalise et que je télécharge sur CZcams ces jours-ci sont des œuvres qui appliquent les idées de prototypes que cela ne me dérange pas de rendre public. Si j'en ai l'occasion, je vous montrerai d'autres œuvres. Parfois, les gens me demandent de les fabriquer moi-même, mais je n'ai toujours pas assez de temps pour faire des choses moi-même. De plus, chaque pièce comporte des difficultés techniques et j’aime beaucoup les surmonter. J'espère que vous passerez un bon moment avec moi. merci

This looks wonderful and well made, but I don't understand what this can do that a tall (standing) drill press can't do. Unless you are trying to drill something that is 8 feet long, I guess. Then it would make sense. But that seems like a lot of work to build something you won't use very often. Wouldn't it be better to build a pantorouter instead and use that for your horizontal drilling needs?
Your comments are very accurate and to the point. To explain briefly, it has been a dream of mine for a long time. So I don't know if I put in more effort than necessary. Of course, this can be done with a normal high drill press, but setting it up is cumbersome and I don't use a drill that high. Actually, the original goal was to make a very long drill bit come out horizontally from one wall of my sanding base. As I try many new things, there are some works that are weak in terms of practicality. I am putting more emphasis on saying I will try it, so please understand. thank you .
