    Thank you Isayama, Hiroyuki Sawano and Mappa and everyone involved for this. This is by far my favorite Score from Aot & it showed up multiple times in the final part

    Bro this whole video just reinforces what I love about the AOT ost so much. Sawano makes an amazing song then takes that song's motif and places it in other which makes listening through each of his albums so rewarding... Damn man Sawano is a genius 😢

    Love the art. In the first one, I can actually see some symbolism in here, if we were to get deep. **SPOILERS**
    Levi's looking to his right, as if always on guard and protecting the others, being humanity's strongest soldier. Hanji is looking downwards, in deep contemplation and planning with her inventive ideas. Erwin is looking at Armin, his successor in the future, serious and stern. Note that both Hanji and Erwin are looking away from the potential 'threat' so to say if there was one beyond what we see, meaning their near future deaths. The fact that Erwin is facing away from this threat and looking at Armin, being the genius he is, probably predicts his death. Hanji's head is tilted downwards, and Erwin's is straight ahead - possibly suggesting the succession of their deaths. Hanji is planted still on the ground, while Erwin is now awaiting his death which is approaching. Armin is looking into the distance, in nearly the same direction as Levi, but surveying the region a bit more, as if preparing for what will come - the 'enemies' to fight off. He is the narrator, so in some manner, he knows what'll happen as he will survive. Mikasa is looking at Eren, her deepest love. Her eyes are very close to nearly looking at her left, the same direction Hanji and Erwin's faces are, along with Levi's (except his eyes are in the opposite direction). It could suggest her willingness to sacrifice, just like Levi (if our right were to suggest death). Eren is looking slightly below the 'camera lens'/the audience, as if a proclamation of him being the protagonist, or has found the source of something. It could be a source of 'breaking the 4th wall', perhaps maybe a suggestion to the 'paths' as it enters a different plane? Haha, I don't know - I love doing these things. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have any.
    P.S (Edit):
    If we were to now look at the sky, neither of them are looking at the setting sun (I'm assuming it is setting), suggesting that hope is quite far still - as obviously suggested by Eren's fall into a numb state. Eren is currently facing the darker side more. However, if the sun sets there, the sun rises where Eren is currently facing, meaning he is seeing the future way beyond the others - again, paths. So if he's enshrouded in the darkness currently, he does it for reasons that others would not be able to predict or know.
    If we were to look at clothing, only Levi and Mikasa are wearing different materials from the rest which resemble a soft cloth. Levi's is the cloak, Mikasa's the neck. I won't look too deeply into the colours because there can be a great array of interpretations but: red = love and passion; green = growth, harmony, safety.
    Also interestingly, on our left, the three do not possess any ODM gear, while on our right, they do. I would understand if only Hanji and Erwin did not possess it, but Levi doesn't either - maybe to suggest that he would prefer to have died along his comrades due to the future pain he will suffer.

      @jamieh.7914 Před 2 lety +7

      Addition to Levi, he is seated instead of standing without ODM gear. To me, this represents his passing the torch to the younger members, but he lives as the oldest Survey Corps member, hence the cloak.
      Addition to Armin, you could also interpret it as him gazing at the speculated, distant sea. This is the exact opposite of Erwin, who looks at the concrete, reachable Armin. Like in reference to Levi’s choice, Armin sees something beyond what they know.

      @@jamieh.7914 I can't believe you actually read my very long-winded message 😂 I appreciate it. And wow, I didn't even notice to add an interpretation for the sitting and standing, that's a good observation! It makes sense especially with the last chapters with him being injured, meaning he cannot fight anymore.

      The song "EMAymniam" was used in the first recap movie for Season 1, during the scene where Eren seals the gate. So yeah, Sawano integrated the YAMANAIAME theme with the "EMA" soundtrack from Season 1. I love how they are so well combined!

      They're codes that have real meaning and the real meaning is the real name of the track.
      Example:
      E · M · A = Eren, mikasa, Arming
      YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T = Ymir's Titan / Titan vs Titan
