In the books seems he steal her when she was a child and then remove her memories, that is actually worst considering he used her like an slave and proclaim her like a creation of his to stay with the credit of creating life. So, yea, he is EVILstein.
I really love how Sally can pull and stitch herself back together, she can still control the limbs when she's away from them but also easily escape by dismembering herself from her limbs. She really is the least scary in Halloween Town because of how cute she is, but I love the liberties they did with having her as a ragdoll and frankenstein monster type creation.

Yeah, she is the least scary because of how cute she is. I saw this movie only once when I was in first grade and though most of the Halloweentown characters still scare me with their stop-motion animation, I always liked Sally because she was the least scary, I knew she was nice
I always thought she was a kind of voodoo doll, but now that you mentioned it, Frankenstein makes more sense cause her mad scientist creator lol
Even oogie can just stitch her back up together, sally would not mind without help. Because for a reason, they are both made of sack. So it may be a reason why that its either sally can stitch herself back together or oogie would do it just for sally in pleasure.

I just realized something sally is awkward and is shy and cute Jack is outgoing, not shy, and knows he’s handsome this is like the movie corpse bride only reversible genders because victor is shy, and awkward and cute and he hides like sally from danger and they both gasp or get hurt a lot (like sally) and Emily is not shy or awkward she’s out going like Jack! My theory is that the Doctor made Sally to be his slave. He would force her to clean and cook for him until her arms LITERALLY fell off. He didn't actually care about or love Sally, he just wanted someone to do chores for him. But the scene where Sally jumps out her window is her jumping to freedom and showing Dr. Finkelstein that she was not a pet or slave. She was her own person who deserved a be free.

Fun fact: this is basically Frankenstein's monster from the actual book by Mary Shelley, only it's female and was treated good enough to have a good heart. In the book Frankenstein's monster was intelligent and at first was against the idea of killing someone but was pushed into accepting even framing a woman named Justine for a crime it committed and killed victors wife in cold blood after promising Victor Frankenstein he would do so on his wedding night because Victor destroyed Justine's stitched corpse breaking his end of a previous deal that would have given the monster a bride and the couple would move to south America or something like that and Victor would never see them again.
Frankenstein is the true monster, his creation was the one who had a heart

The moment she escaped, Dr. F created a NEW servant to meet his needs, which shows you how much he really cared about her to begin with. He only cared about her because of what she could PROVIDE for him.
