  • People's Republic of China's ZOU Jingyuan re-established his dominance on the parallel bars, winning Olympic gold on the final day of artistic gymnastics competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Lukas Dauser of Germany was the silver medallist, while Turkey's Ferhat Arican won the bronze medal.
Zou took the gold after scoring a massive 16.233, which is the highest score of any gymnast - male or female - at these Games. He has dominated the event in international competition, winning the world titles in 2017 and 2018. But a slip up in the qualifying round at the 2019 World Championships found him on the outside looking in during the medal round. He was not to be denied in Tokyo.
Last up, Dauser scored 15.700. It was a long wait for Arican, who was first up in the final. He scored 15.633 for bronze, making him the first-ever gymnast from his country to win an Olympic medal in the sport.

See: Scoring in some championships doesn't seem fair at all to me. These people live gymnastics, their life is gymnastics and they have prepared and psyched themselves up to win podiums. The Turk who comes out in first position made a great set. demonstrating a perfect balance, changes and risk. and yet they bury him in the other 2 exits like someone who stomps on a piece of gum (this is very noticeable of being rigged, when there are civil servant judges who judge as they please or as you know -.-) then joe fraser does it pretty bad (arch your back 3 times) and can't stand the movements and the note takes a long time to come out..... you are a shame and you can see the feather duster where you sweep sometimes. I am just a mere observer. I have seen many fair championships but others are a complete lack of purpose and seriousness. It is the fault of corruption and judges, corrupt officials.
