everyone was lol. they said it was for buffy the vampire slayer yet it was getting worse views and dark angel was top at that time. the director was super upset because they cancelled it day of filming season 3 he released lol
I read an interview once when Jensen admitted the behind the cameras scene in Dark Angel was pretty toxic. I also read that Jessica was dating the guy who play Logan, and that he was jealous of Jensen and didn't want the writers to develop a romantic story line between Jensen and Max.
I have heard this as well. Although Jensen himself has said it now that Alba gave him a hard time. Not sure how bad Weatherly was on the show towards Jensen though. But tensions between Alba and Weatherly relationship and problems happening there definitely spilled over on the sets

I would bet Weatherly manipulated Alba into taking a negative attitude towards Jensen. Espacially since in interviews with Alba all that comes out is a lot of bitterness against Weatherly, how she felt used and swore never to get in a romantic relationship with a co-star ever again. Also in that interview where Jensen talks about how Alba was mean to him in the beginning, you can clearly see (reading between the lines) that underneath it all they did have a crush on each other. Wich makes sense.
l was ALWAYS a huge fan of Jensen's way back when l was a kid when he was in Dark Angel. l loved that show, l wish it wasnt cancelled after only 2 seasons. Jensen (Alec) was Badass in that show along with Jessica (Max)
Yeah.... I loved Dark Angel so much and crazy fangirl grade 7 mini-me was so fucking PISSED when it got canceled. However, I wouldn't go back in time and extend it, (sadly?), because Supernatural needed Jensen. I legit wish they'd pull about half the good concepts from Dark Angel and make a whole new show, though. I still want escape genetically altered soldiers with attitude outrunning the government and fighting a corrupt system with their friends and peers. I just think certain plot pathways need to be reworked, various themes need to be updated to suite a future ahead of our actual time NOW in the 2020s, and various things that seemed progressive/funny/appropriate back then still need to be updated in a way that doesn't outright jar the audience today. Dark Angel is wonderful with it's 90-2000s themed grunge cyberpunk look, but so much of it seems still seems so culturally specific to that transition between the 90s and the 2000s.

In commentary track of DVD, it was said all the piano scene was taken from Jensen's performance, they didn't use the hand stunt's scene as Jensen did it too well.

He purposely made his voice deeper to play Dean in Supernatural and imagine going at that for 15 years (he said in one interview that messed up his voice chords a bit) and of course, getting older also had something to do with his voice changing over time.

If they did, I'd rather they retcon season 2 out actually. It just wasn't nearly as good. But I don't see how it could ever happen. The show is nearly twenty years old by now, and though the actors still look great, they don't really look the same as they did then either, especially Michael Weatherly, who was in his thirties then, and is 52 now -- your appearance changes a lot more between 40 and 50 than it does betweeen 20 and 40. Besides, Weatherly and Jessica Alba were engaged for a while, but then broke up; depending on how that went, they might have no desire to work together again. If that show were ever revived after all this time, it would doubtlessly be a reboot.

So at the beginning of the year, right before quarantine started but when things were starting to look like they were headed to that direction, my manager, the bartender, and I were doing inventory. The GM was throwing a hiss fit every other day and cutting hours like crazy, and so my manager hit it a little heavy on the drinks but she was off the clock so who really cares. After we're done, we're hanging out in the bar, and my manager says to me, "you know, I bet you're really mad at me, no I know it, slap. Me." I wasn't mad and her, and I told her as much for about 5 minutes because a) I wasn't mad and b)she wasn't blackout drunk, until the bartender said, "No, just do it, and don't bother holding back." My manager was glad for some back up, thinking me getting out my anger was healthy and all that, but my ears caught the, "don't bother holding back". I took the implication that she didn't think I could hit hard. I looked up from manager and slowly rotated my head towards the bartender, and said, "ok". My manager looked at me, so happy, and a millisecond and a slap later, my manager was damn near falling out of the chair. And that my friends, is the story of when I assaulted my drunk manager for no reason, faced zero repercussions, and got my bartender to stop giving me shit.
Except for the voice. It's totally different when I first came across with a random episode of Dark Angel just recently. Puberty hits him in a nice way.

The visual appearance was the same as those that appeared on police force in california over a decade later...
