@Joshua Chamberlain true, but there are many ways to get out in cricket. And honestly a full toss ball in cricket is very much like an average fast ball in baseball. And full tosses are considered gifts for the batsmen in cricket.
@@tombahma Well the thing is in cricketing terms, CHUCKING. Cricket bowlers dont chuck which makes batting easy but remember Baseball pitchers do chuck due to which the ball comes at a different angle rather than top to bottom. But why cant we just accept the truth that both sports are great.

As a lifelong cricket fan, baseball can be a classy game too. Don't dismiss it. You have to know a bit about the game to appreciate it but baseball is a great game too.

They do not rellly prove anything and are only PR exercises. Despite the fact that they are both England players (sometimes) neither would have a clue trying to hit a MLB level curve ball pitcher like Kershaw.
MLB International arm has many of these clinics all over the world regularly baseball being played in a lot more nations than most people realise.

This is an old comment, but whatever, I believe the wall is at 200 feet. A regular field is around 400 feet. The ball they hit would have barely gone past the infield.
Mark Bronson baseball is played outside. When the batter hits the ball over the wall which is usually 350-400 feet depending on where on the field, it is ruled a home run.

When it comes to batting, in baseball you have fewer but more difficult things to do, and in cricket you have many more easier options. In baseball it is more about skill and reflexes than deciding where and how to hit the ball. In cricket it is more about thought, and where and how hard or soft to hit the ball. Both are difficult but in different ways. Also in baseball you just go out and hit and get back in the dugout. In cricket you have to build an innings over time.
Exactly! Cricket is a game where survival is important, runs are cheap, outs/wickets are at a premium. Baseball is the opposite - runs are tough, and the expected outcome of any contact of ball with bat is an out. There is so much ignorance of both sports in the comments here it's kind of ridiculous..
