I kinda feel sad because i like the game but this is frustrating, the police exists for the challenging vibe.. But theres diference between challenge and not letting u feel/play the game at all... U just can get into the flow of drift
If you don’t want heat level 3 immediately you have to do low level races like 9,000 rep earned a race
If you’re offline you can actually change the setup of your car in the pause menu so if you’re drifting you can switch it up to a track build to lose cops and then back onto drift to do your next race

I know that XRAY, but you can still lose the police slightly easier than doing doughnuts because of the lack of traction on the drift build lol
well, no, if you're in a pursuit you cannot change jack shit. That's the gist of the story.

Doeman35 I know this, but offline is easier because there isn’t still things happening in the background. It’s not particularly easy to swap every part from drift to track when you’ve got a heat level 5 and can be chased at any moment. Cray is right though, cops need a to take a McDonald’s break when people are drifting

Me and my mate stopped playing for 2 weeks, came back and realised the traffic (in night races) was the worst shit ever man, the programming set to literally screw you just blew it out the door, the cops didnt feel so bad, but yeah more RP is now more Heat too.

I feel your pain bro. And they def need button mapping. It gets mad annoying to be using a manual and you just wanna shift... And it be pulling you into an event... Or making you spend $$$ when you just trying to downshift in the day time running from the cops.
Sometimes when I'm I'm drifitng at night and the heat level gets too high i change the live tuning so I put downforce all the way up and put traction control on works pretty well 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

U need to look at the car level required for each race, that determines ur heat level at the end...if u do a race that says u need to be level 340 that will put u at heat level 3 when u finish the race...think anything 330 and above is automatic heat level 3
But when you put in drift parts for a car the car level goes down, I haven’t seen a 400+ drift car because of that

The drag tires shouldn't be the best for drifting either. All other tire types make the car fishtail out of control, making it impossible to straighten out.
It’s refreshing finally seeing more CZcamsrs expose some of the issues in this game. This isn’t a good game. People are just used to playing bad Need for Speeds.

FACTS. Ghost games need to hang it up imo. I've disliked all the NFS games they've created and I've been playing NFS since Hot Pursuit 2 on the GameCube and XBOX. EA needs to get bring back Black Box or Criterion. Or bring back BURNOUT.

Tbh what i do is use track setup whenever i finish a drift race when im not chased but when im chased i just tune the downforce to the right i know it doesnt help much but still gives a bit of grip to let me hit the jumps and lose them
A mod now exists that completely revamps the drift physics: the Hayeduce drift mod, combinable with Unite too. Highly recommend for realistic physics
I've been getting Heat 3 after first race even without seeing any cops for quite some time.
They need a quick restart like press l1/r1 like crew 2 to get you back on the track when you flyoff the race track or when shit like that happen to you

Just did my 350Z setup like your video and ngl drifting that car at night is fun asf even with the cops. It's a a struggle yes but the challenge is where it's at for me
Basically after you beat the story portion of the game and "become part of the league" it puts you in a crew. While in the crew you help rank it up with a variety of other players and when your clan reaches max rank it pretty much helps with gaining rep throughout the night time races. People just starting out are only gonna be able to do lower stat races meaning they won't earn as much rep as someone at rep 50 with 400+ custom cars and etc
you also don’t get extra rep while drifting on pursuit

I noticed the only drift car that can transition and keep angles at a decent speed is the r32. every other car either spins out or grips up way to much no matter the parts.

The deal with hitting Heat 3 after a race varies. I think it depends on what rep you earn after that race/drift event that you get finished, coupled with the fact that you're pretty much notorious for street racing in the city now (rep level). For example, do a race like Millenium F, Oceandrive, Maori Venture, Valkyrie, etc. all of which have rep gains of about +30K, finish in the top 3, and boom you're Heat 3 once that race finishes vs. an event Downtown where you only gain about 6K to 20K, and you only end up at Heat 2. It all depends on the event
Drifting with the cops in tow is hella annoying, I thought I was the only one that thought about this shit lol
They definitely buffed the cops, I used to fly past them and not get bothered while drifting. But now... It is INSANE!!
It makes sense to have less drift events at night... night is for racing and going up against cops and not. Not an ideal situation for drift. But if you want an easier time drifting at night you need to use the "Radar Disruptor" Passive auxiliary. All in all, I wouldn't expect much to change... it's not a manicanic that is broken. Drift cars are not setup for getting away. Drifting and offroad take a backseat to to racing in the game, but it fits the game dynamic and focus.
Night drifting is absolutely pointless now. When Heat came out you could do like 1-2 events and be good but now it's just fucked.

Maybe it could have a mode with no cops but no rep awarded as well..
Oh, and on 4:26 when you say that the cops came down your street randomly, they might have gotten you on the radar if you don't have the radar jammer installed

Crew level 50 +10% Heat boost. You're welcome :P. @CrayG and yes, it has always been like that. If you earn ~30k Rep in ONE EVENT than it's a guaranteed Heat 3. Just do Flying Dutchman Sprint Race and you will see.
Btw drift night events do suck, cause you don't really have a car to escape the cops on high heat levels lol. This is why it's very risky to do them (as you will always have cop chasing you in those events).
And sadly, you cannot swap car parts when you're in pursuit, so that one is no-go.
The only reason you feel the cops were buffed.. It's because the drift car is slower...

Yo, I completely agree with you on this one. I believe that once you’re at level 50, the RP build shoots up way faster and now completing a drift race is almost impossible. As you already know, getting away from cops in a car with NO GRIP is thoroughly frustrating, hard AF. No amount power in a car will help, in all reality.
I say complete the Drift Story in the game and mess with it if you’re in the mood to drift.

If your car goes 200 MPH or over hit the highway and hit 200 for a couple seconds and you will lose them as well as the helicopter you can also hit jumps some other creators made videos on how to lose the police
Maybe bit too late, but I had good luck using Drag tires for night drifting... better acceleration and even fast cornering is somewhat possible on those for cop chase. No recipe for cops butchering your drift race though :D

Well the whole point of night races is that there is a risk. If you want to drift risk free then just go to day time. However I think that night time races aren't rewarded enough which is why you feel like police are just pointless

Bro 30,000 rep is gonna give you heat 3 every time. There are lowere races like 9,000 rep and you won’t get any heat. And if you drift at night with 0 heat the cops won’t bother you at all. But that means race or don’t race which is where they fucked up
