i recently got sober and am going into gardening, i really like watching ur videos as a part of my morning routine together with some coffee! really nice voice and face
I have a spider farmer tent that’s 4.58x2.5x6.5 tall. These tents are perfect for dwarf tomatoes. I have 5 seedlings that just popped out of the soil today. They are 5 different varieties of tomatoes from the dwarf tomato project. They are indeterminate but only get 3-4 feet tall. Perfect for these tents.
What I like about grow tents is that when you're not using them for plants you can raise chicks in a Rubbermaid bin. I would suggest the ventilation in that instance.
These are perfect for the Little Sicily Slicer variety. It's a determinate that grows about 2-3 feet tall and produces an abundance of tomatoes all about the same time for canning or sauce. So far my results show a tougher than average skin with a really unique delicious flavor. Dull knives need not apply.
None of this would exist without Cannabis growers providing demand and demanding better products. Glad to see you getting a proper tent. I have a Gorilla tent (pretty much the same thing as a Spider Farmer) but mine is 3 foot by 6 foot. Since you have such a cold climate, it will be easy to keep the light from heating the tent past 100 degrees. I doubt you are going to be growing cannabis, so I am curious what you will be using it for. Possibly some winter tomatoes or peppers? Tents are great for starting seedlings/ small plants to transplant into the yard when it is too cold outside. My guess is you will want a bigger wider one in the future. Excited for your future videos on the grow tent and what you use it for. Cheers.
I agree with you. I am planning winter tomatoes and peppers as you suggest. I'm even thinking of a sweet potato plant. In spring I expect it to be a transition space before transplanting. Yes, I'm already thinking about a bigger one. Thanks.
@@GardenerScott Strawberries and garlic growing in a 30-gallon, two cannabis in a 3x3 bed, and mixed salad greens in an EarthBox, which are all in a room. My 2x4 tent just finished peppers in an EB, with plans to start six or so 5-gallon planters with herbs. My next tent will be a 4x6 that I will set on its side for seedlings, clones and mother plants. I'm using MIGRO Array lights throughout because of their versatility and remote drivers to keep heat out of the tent. Note: All of this is no/low till, even the EBs, which I amend with my castings and worms. My hope is that more YT gardeners realize the potential need to show how they grow non-cannabis plants (there is too much of that already) indoors, and as economically as possible... hint, hint. Be well, stay safe, and thank you!

Hey nice video...❤ Can you put an review video as it's been long n if you are still using a review video will be much appreciated as am a beginner grower..
We call those adjustable light mechanisms "yoyos". I think you would prefer having the yoyos at the top with the caribeener coming down to the light. This keeps excess string up and out of the way as well as makes it easier to raise and lower the light.
I just tie a string into a loose loop around the pole and then hook the loop with the caribeaner. Either way Your lights going to do its job. Fun to watch
In your opinion which is more effective the grow tent or greenhouse. Do they serve the same purpose or is just one is indoors and the other is outdoor 😊
Grow tents are far superior in my opinion. They are easier to control as far as heat and humidity. Greenhouses are often too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. The only advantage to a greenhouse is you don't need a light which costs a fair amount of money in electricity and the ability to grow in the ground. The only bad thing I experience with my grow tent is in the summer it can get very hot unless you use an AC.
They serve different purposes at different times. In my climate, the tent will be more effective for growing small plants indoors before transplanting. The greenhouse is more effective for hardening off and growing full-size plants outside when the weather cools.
Scott, why did you select this particular grow test? Is it effective only for plants that are on the floor or can you grow plants that are on shelves so that you can have more in the tent given that it only a 2ft x 2ft footprint?
I wanted to see how a model like this could work for plants, particularly if a gardener only has a small space to use. I'll be trying different configurations.
This tent is the smallest one they offer. It is not tall, it is only 5 feet tall. If you buy one of the larger tents it will not only be wider (surface area) it will be 6.5 to 7 feet tall. I have a 3 foot by 6 foot tent by 6.5 feet tall. I can fit 3 lights in it and can grow most of my seedlings in it before the growing season starts. If you have the room, get a bigger tent, this one is mostly for beginners or people in apartments.
@@moiseechen I am using some lights from 8 years ago. They have come a long way since then. If I were to get new lights I would probably get a Spider Farmer light. They have many sizes so you should check what size is best for your tent size. Also you can go check out the youtube channel called "Build a Soil" He is by far the most informative channel out there for indoor growing.
Love you Scott, can’t wait to see what plant the chilled out old man gardener with a ponytail living in Colorado uses his tall grow tent for😉😉

Very interesting. The construction looks similar to the portable closet. Am looking forward to seeing the plants set up. Thanks 👍
Thank you for this video. Really helped me as the instructions were a bit confusing
I always wondered if those type of grow tents were a quality product. Now I see that they are. Thank You for showing us.
I grow a lot indoors but have not invested in a grown tent as of yet. I’m looking forward to seeing what you grow in yours.

Those can be tricky to install the first time! In my second year growing vegetables inside. Love a nice home grown salad in February!

That's the way I like it with my other lights, but wrapping it around the rod didn't work well. Once I get a hook set up I'll do as you recommend.

Thanks for sharing
I have an issue with the F pole only having one connecting side...he other will not connect.
I have the same setup but what I’m curious to know the 6 red led are they the same brightness or are 5 the same brightness and 1 is very dull ?
I'm not sure, but based on the manual with the lights they should be the same.
Hell ya

Can you tell me how to order from spider farmer? It would seem we just got scammed by them
I’ve ordered from their website.
Growing some Ganja I hope.
Do you know how to take it down?
Just reverse the steps of assembly.
anyone else here thinking he was growing spiders in the tent or was it just me :P
