I really enjoy the quiet, intelligent calm in your channel - thanks for the bookish inspiration.

Zweig's Chess Story was terrific, so compelling and inventive. Great storytelling with remarkable insights into the human psyche.

Absolutely! His style and execution seem pretty unique to me, although others do come close.

I have a similar box of postcards only the Penguin Classics collection. That Walden cover is beautiful. I’m very sad this series has ended. I’ve loved the tour of your bookshelves and have taken away so many recommendations they will keep me going for years. Thank you Aaron, this was brilliant 😊

Ooh, I'll have to get the Penguin Classics postcards too. I keep thinking of actually using them as postcards, but feel really attached to them now! I might try and get to some of the other bookcases downstairs at some point. We'll see how it goes!

Those penguin English library editions are nice! I also have that edition of Hamlet, though I haven’t actually read the edition yet. When I reread Hamlet, I think I’m going to enjoy the introduction and notes to that copy.

The notes really are wonderful in that edition. I hope you have a lot of fun with them!

It's been lovely touring your library shelves with you, Aaron. If I could ever get my library upstairs organized again, I might like to try to do a series like this too. I've never read any Trollope at all, and since being on BookTube, he's definitely been on my radar. I'm not sure where to start with him. I hope you do get to Thoreau and WALDEN at some point. I find him much more accessible than, say, Emerson. I think Mrs. Dalloway is my favorite of Woolf's novels. Have you read Michael Cunningham's novel, The Hours, which is his tribute to Mrs. Dalloway? He won the Pulitzer Prize for it. I found it to be an incredibly powerful novel, and definitely the best he's ever written. Thanks for this library tour series, Aaron. Hope you're doing well...

Thank you, Pat! I would be lovely to see a library tour from you one day. I haven't read anything by Cunningham yet. I think I would really like to get to The Hours one day, maybe once I've read a bit more Woolf (and maybe reread Mrs. Dalloway).
