    This is the best critical feedback yet. They need at least two more years to improve their product before I drop three grand. I have a little over an acre with multiple shade areas with trees. I am definitely rooting for luba!

    • @freshlycharged
      @freshlycharged  Před 9 dny

      With the trees, it does better than expected. I think I put the antennae too close to the house. If I move the antennae away from the house, I should have much better results… although as it is, I’m impressed with this guy.

      my lawn is 70% covered with giant trees. My luba 2 has no issues with that.

    I have had a Landroid for over 5 years now. Hopefully this is the upgrade we have been waiting for! Our landroid is basically a random bounce around mower. It gets the job done and until it dies (we have only ever had to replace the battery and blades) we will wait to upgrade to these pricey Luba "beasts"!

      This thing will amaze you! Robot lawn mowers have come a long way over the last 5 years!

    Music is annoying af, YT is the best way to understand or chose any products. You dont ever need to wash underneath, especially when it's upside down, it's a no no. The 2 pins key is for desabling power to Luba, so you can't drain battery, good for off season time while battery is at 60% i think. Thats the way i see key feature. The cam on top is mostly bling bling sadly as you described it, also, it's reducing clearance. I may buy the Luba 2 but the cam is a killer atm. Luba is doing great but Luba 2 can drive itself for awhile when it loses RTK instead of dying out of power when connection gets bad i think. Good review. Thanks.

      @surf2257 Před 9 dny

      Also, now it comes with a H feature which i really need. Luba can only reach 2.8'' instead of 4''.

    I bet you that key is what tells the unit how many zones it can do!! lol.. Im not joking that's probably what it is..

    Approximately how long would it take to cut a lawn of .3 acres and what charge would be used.

      We have not yet, but we do have quite a few mowers coming.

    While I found the video quite informative, what I found sadly lacking was any commentary about what an ecological disaster maintaining grass is, which is born out by science. I would have much preferred a nuanced discussion about eliminating grass and replacing it with native plants originating from each particular geography throughout the country. If we collectively took steps toward this, eventually, we could minimize or completely eliminate the need for lawn mowers and do far more justice to the ecology as a result.

    @Tothefloor Před 10 dny +2

    The thing that stopped me from buying one was the fact that the robot constantly loses connection to the wifi. You would need to place a few of those WiFi transmitters around your property to get it to work correctly and I don't know if it will even work with more than one transmitter. The tech is not good enough yet. It needs work before I spend the money.

    • @freshlycharged
      @freshlycharged  Před 10 dny +2

      I was concerned about this but WiFi wasn’t an issue, even from the farthest corner of the yard on Tyler’s property.

    • @Tothefloor
      @Tothefloor Před 10 dny

      @@freshlycharged I have a large home. No way would it be able to keep connection at the backyard unless maybe I placed it on the very rooftop but then it would be very high and still far from the robot... I still feel the tech isn't ready. The robot might be but not the tech. Too many disconnects I am hearing about. They need to work on that. See other reviews on CZcams and read them as well. You will see. Sad as I truly wanted to buy one bad!

    • @user-ie2xp2pi4n
      @user-ie2xp2pi4n Před 9 dny +2

      The robot could work by itself without WiFi. It is not necessary if you don't want to monitor it anytime remotely

    • @Tothefloor
      @Tothefloor Před 9 dny

      @@user-ie2xp2pi4n Nope.👎🏻 Watch more video reviews on it. It doesn’t seem to work as advertised without WiFi connection. It also loses gps constantly. It’s just not ready. They need more time developing it.

    • @freshlycharged
      @freshlycharged  Před 9 dny

      @@Tothefloor GPS and WiFi are two separate things. If it is losing GPS connection, I'd check the positioning of the antennae. I'd say for Tyler's yard, once we got the kinks worked out, mowing every other day we lose signal once every few weeks. To fix this someone needs to walk out, physically move the Luba a few feet, and then resuming the task. A little inconvenient but much easier than actually having to mow the lawn.

  • @user-ie2xp2pi4n
    @user-ie2xp2pi4n Před 9 dny +1

    Luba has two red side lights to tell persons where it is at night. Maybe you turn them off on the app

    The ‘security key’ is probably leftover from electric mower legislation. A lot of manual electric mowers have the same key.

    • @freshlycharged
      @freshlycharged  Před 10 dny

      Hmmm. Interesting. My manual electric mower doesn’t have one. Do you know the purpose?

  • @cocoabiscuits
    @cocoabiscuits Před 10 dny

    not bad but I'll pass on these mowers. I have the old school reel mower that nostalgic to use (rarely now) and my push mower (often) and newer John Deere (not that often). These battery mowers are neat but I might use once and be done and battery would likely not hold a charge by the time I ever used it again if it even would start. These companies....who knows if they'll be around years to come.

  • @abumpersticker
    @abumpersticker Před 10 dny

    Those mowing blades are a JOKE. This tech has been out for years and we are using box cutter blades. Who wants to change their lawn mower blade every couple weeks? Seems like they need more time to refine this product segment.

    • @troyholl99
      @troyholl99 Před 6 dny

      I’ve had a robotic mover for six years. I change the blades at the beginning of each season and they last all summer. I have half an acre. Frankly it’s amazing and is one of my best Investments ever. I’ve not had to mow my lawn in 6 years. Not once and the lawn is fully manicured every day.
