    I like some of these new features, but updating existing projects to 3.5 is still super cumbersome. I know it can't all be the same, but putting in custom parameters for cabinets/FX is going to be painful. Also, would it be possible to have a setting that automatically changes all key switches/velocity triggers to what they were in Shreddage 3.0? I use the power chord key switch a lot, palm mutes through velocity, tapping for fast notes in solos, & probably other things that got switched around, & I don't want to have to change this every time for every project I update.
    PS: thank you so much for updating Shreddage Drums to save the reverb types, I never thought I'd see it happen!

    I am happy to see some visual updates here!
    I have 2 questions. #1. What is the benefit of updating the velocity key switching to manual key switches and are we missing out on anything if we manually change it back to velocity like you showed in this video?
    #2. I have always had phasing issues and repetitive sample issues when double tracking with 1/2 and 3/4. I have worked around it by just using 1/4 together but I feel like I am missing out on the ant repetition because my 8th and 16th notes do sound very robotic regardless of how much I adjust velocity. Is this phasing issue a known thing or is it possible that I am doing something incorrectly?

      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  Před rokem +1

      (1) This just comes down to preference. Some people prefer to switch articulations via velocity, others prefer keyswitch. In either case you are getting the same sonic result.
      (2) If this is still happening as of Shreddage 3.5 please send our support a note with a MIDI file and audio render where you hear it occurring!

For example, we will see a Shreddage 4 with new algorithms and maybe some samples or AI integration... or... maybe a standalone engine for more freedom to you? hahahaha... Yes, sounds very ambicious but, seriously, I think the samples of Shreddage Guitars are AMAZING! And there is no need to be discarded, the bigger proof is the old Jupiter (Shreddage 2) that still sounds AMAZING and I think it can benefits from new engine updates and behavior. Just for knowing... • @GR-cj8cu

    My current issue is that I want to do a root+octave style power chord.
    This would be E3+E4 in this case so I put down an E3 in the midi piano roll and when I play the single note it will be played on the high A string 7th fret which I where I want it, great!
    The moment I add the E4 the problems start.
    When I do that the engine decides to play it on the low A and low E string, at the end of the fret board.
    This gets me a very undesirable tone and sounds awful.
    I've tried to mess with the force string option but no matter what I choose it keeps going to the low A and low E.
    I've tried different picking modes, fretting modes, hand positions, hand sizes, min and max preferred frets but nothing gets the notes to play in the place I want them.
    When I remove the E4 from the piano roll and only play the E3 it works flawless any time.
    I have no clue how to get Shreddage to behave as I want it to, does anyone have an idea?

    This update was a nice idea, but now I am having issues trying to reproduce the sounds I had in 3.0 with 3.5. Even after setting up the velocity triggered sounds manually (which I don't think we should have had to do, as this was one of the reasons I even went toward Shreddage in the first place), I cannot seem to get the same tones out of the program as before. Combine that with some of my midi not being read when using the newer versions, I am unsure I am happy with this overall. It's making me consider moving to another program.

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC

      There are no velocity split presets included at the moment, but as demonstrated in the video you can put one together yourself very quickly - and it will be exactly as you'd like it. Once you update, the 3.0 version is no longer available (keeping it would result in 2 sets of almost-identically-named snapshots in the NKS system, which is not ideal.) You can of course manually keep two installations on your system.

    Update looks fantastic but I'm concerned for my old projects because Pulse downloader deletes my old Shreddage 3 nki files when I update to 3.5. Thankfully it's easy to downgrade and bring em back.

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC
      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  Před rokem

      Hey Anton, you're correct that it will remove the original NKI. However your DAW saves the NKI with your projects, so if you used the original 3.0 version, that is what will be saved & loaded with your previous projects. It won't load up the new file. That being said you CAN also just copy the NKI out and back like you said if you want to hold on to both!

      This is a good feature request but it's most likely not going to happen before Shreddage 4. However, in the meantime, you can employ a workaround: set the pitch bend range to maximum (12 semitones), but then you can use a multiscript to scale down the pitch bend up range, like so:

    I hearing in the examples plectrum strikes that still sound the same over and over again the humanisation is still robotic please push on with this as to a good ear the examples at least don’t cut it for me and why do we still have to be swimming in reverb sorry guys this wash to paper over the cracks is unnecessarily used
    Every DAW has tons of reverbs and most of us can use them I would rather have more picking variation samples than reverbs I bin immediately
    Sorry to not be singing praises here it’s improving but you need to get to another level
    I would say you have just began to get this show on the road maybe some virtual modelling may be the way to go
    You are getting things right but possibly you are trying to put to much into one box
    I would like to see a separation completely of lead and rhythm guitar so that the software library is dedicated to one or the other lead guitarist and Rhythm are two different people in the real world
