- If you've noticed your grocery bill is soaring, you're not alone. The prices of staples like dairy, bread and coffee have steadily gone up over the past 12 months - and turns out, a bunch of global factors are to blame.
We roped reporter Ilias Bakalla into explaining how cooked grocery prices are in the cost of living crisis - by forcing him to make us lunch.

$100 used to get me a week's worth of food, now it gets me a couple of days 😤
Can barely find anything under $3.50 anymore...the most simplest food item is $3. Meanwhile let’s keep helping these other countries while our people starve...$3 don’t sound like much but it adds up FAST especially with hardly any good paying jobs.
They conveniently forgot to mention the biggest cause - greedflation

Corporations are increasing their prices even when uneffected. Why? Because they can. It's end stage capitalism.

There’s literally no reason for Australian grown/made produce to be more expensive. Greedy farmers.
