If I’m not mistaken, SO HYANG was diagnosed with cancer…after surviving the ordeal she saw her second chance at life as a gift from God and dedicated her voice/life to brining joy to others…she is a gospel singer who grew up singing in church and she rejected international fame choosing instead to sing only for Jesus and to raise money for charity. This is why I believe we feel so much from her singing...its from above and real.

So..not only was her vocal prowess itself so impressive and moving, but the RE-arrangement of the song was masterfully done, and so interesting and seamless. You should have seen me when I heard Sohyang sing this cover for the first time - I was literally a mess afterwards. And congratulations on really learning about Sohyang from this performance. She can amaze with her high notes and other vocal skills, but it is her magic that snatches your soul and takes away your breath stands her out in my view. I have said this many times. Sohyang doesn't sing to amaze but to connect. Your reaction suggests that you had such an experience. I am thankful. That is 100% So Hyang. No artificial flavourings, no lip syncing and definitely no Auto-Tune! In fact, Auto-Tune has been known to hike up its skirts and run like the living daylights when So Hyang enters the room! 😉

I would love to watch you tear over a korean song by So Hyang. I am a 50+ man and I teared each time I listen to So Hyang's Dear Love. It is the song and her voice. It is like a cry of pain in the wilderness. One agonizing cries after another. Each time more painful than the one before. Dear Love/My Love is about a woman who is lonely and still pined for her husband whom she loves dearly, who is cheating on her. You can hear the cries literally in the song.
