When some people say that Living Colour were ahead of their time, they must if been talking about this song. So freaking dope. I can listen to it over and over 💥💥💥
Even though the audio quality is not the greatest, and neither is the camerawork, THIS has not only been one of my favourite songs EVER, and this PERFORMANCE is the GREATEST one of all. Thank you, Living Colour, for being an inspiration for me since I was in grade school.
I was working in a music store when Time’s Up and I played it over & over. Then came home and played it over & over. This is my favorite song off an album of awesome songs. Could never ever play his leads but learned the intro and verse/chorus on guitar.
During that time, big Jim Kelly, dimebag, Kim thyall, morello and Vernon had the biggest impact on my playing, but same way, could only ever barely scratch the surface with Reids playing...
Although there are many; this is the greatest,....GREATEST Living Colour song ever!

I love the climactic "This is the life" slowdown near the end. Corey is still an awesome singer, and Vernon, Doug and Will are still awesome musicians, as always.
One of my favorite bands all time. I was 14/15 years old when it came out and this album blew my mind(still does). This song really reminds me that we each have that inner power to change our own worlds for the better.
Best LC song of all time. It distilled all that was great about them.

This Song makes me,even to this Day, Nostalgic, theres something embedded in it so deeply that Only those that are on a Quest to Find inner Enlightenment can truly identify with it upon first contact.
This is one of my favorite, if not THE favorite song by them. I saw them play at a City Whinery in 216 but they didn't play this ne. I missed out. Still a great show, and they were super nice to hang out later and chill.
Beautiful. Monstrous. Astounding, and yes, one of the best LC songs of all time. I'm gonna defend the crowd here; this looks like the kind of venue where everyone has to sit down at a bunch of very crowded and closely-spaced tables. Tell me how the hell are you gonna mosh and go nuts in a place like that? I think that audience FULLY appreciated what they were seeing; why else would they be there in the first place?
I saw them LAST NIGHT at the City Winery in Nashville!!! My first time seeing them after being a fan for 30 years!!!! But they didn't play this!! Oh well... It was still awesome and I got Will Calhoun's autograph!!!
I'm here again and again.. All time favourite band, song, performance. When Corey doesn't believe Vernon guitar playing after so many years.. :) I wish they going to come Europe again.

I've always thought the lyrics to this song were great. Is there any way someone could post them onto this? It's a very creative and touching song that a lot of people somehow missed. I played this song for my friends (studio CD) & since I didn't tell them, none could even guess the name of the band. This band deserves a lot more attention, in my opinion.

I saw them at the City Winery in Nashville but they didn’t play this. It’s kind of weird actually. Right in the middle of their set, Vernon, Corey, and Doug all huddled up in the middle of the stage and called an audible, to use a football term, and that’s when Will Calhoun started his drum solo! I ended up with a copy of the set list and they skipped a few songs. I think they had some extra songs on the list or something. They would’ve never had enough time to play everything on there. I got to meet all four of them after the show but I didn’t ask any of them what the deal was. I purchased one of Will’s cds called Celebrating Elvin Jones and I had him sign it. To this day I still have no idea what it says! lol... It’s a great cd though and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting one of my favorite bands and favorite drummers.
It's funny how a song from 1990 can be a guiding point for situations in 2020. The lyrics say everything!! Now the rest is up to us!!

This is one of my favorite songs of the ‘80s. I love this band at a deep emotional level. This performance of this song just sucks. Corey rake your ducking hands out of your pockets. The the fuck is wrong with you. Sad to see this performance.
