I once listened to the studio version of this song on repeat for four hours straight while writing. However, this live version is damn magical. Just enough tweaks to take it over the top. That moment at 4:44 when percussion and bass come together, again at 7:56;, and that smile at 9:13. That's what being a musician is about.

What Darren is saying is this band does not get the attention and hype it deserves. The only song I knew from Air was "Kelly Watch the Stars and Sexy Boy" and that was only on MTV 2 when I was in England. I kept hearing the comparisons with Zero 7 and did not know why. I finally saw that this was a complete and extraordinary band. Yes they are very underrated and people should be aware how really good they are.
Darren Martin Underated because is not on the mainstream? hahaha look at the mainstream is pure commercial garbage, this is real music, the one that not everybody knows, that's why is so special.
Kitari you're just a massive hipster, you should want bands you like to get big and achieve real mainstream appeal. Air are one of those bands which are drastically under-appreciated despite defining a genre and really innovating the use of keys and synths in "jazz-like" rhythms and melodies. Plus the songwriting is amazing, they should have more recognition really.

Getting to see them live, 3 times, are my best memories. Waiting in line for 6 hours, as i had to be first in line to get to the stage and be right there with them. Heck, I even have them both tattooed on my left leg. Glad it was not my right leg, since it got cut off last year. lol

I first saw Air on MTV2 when I got to the UK in '99. I thought they were DJ's like Groove Armada. It took 13 years for me to find out that they are talented musicians with kick ass band!
