  • The Ascent Intrepid Mini Velo - pushing the limits of performance with the new Shimano 105 Di2 groupset.
    This build was a pleasure to assemble, featuring all our top end components, from our Cirrus carbon wheels, to our Revolution Bottom Bracket. All components built for speed, all systems go.

    Groupset: Shimano 105 Di2 R7170, 50-34T cranks, 11-34T cassette
    Wheels: Ascent Cirrus w/ DT350
    Bottom Bracket: Ascent Revolution BSA w/ NTN Bearings

    Wow great build! Is the rear derailleur a little too low? It looks like it’s just a couple of cms off the ground.

      It's fine actually! You'd have to tilt the bike a whole lot for it to hit - enough that you'd be crashing in that situation.

    I noticed you routed cables up through the seat tube. Does this mean I could run a dropper post in the intrepid frame. Very interested in buying a frame if there’s a possibility to use a dropper post

      Technically it's possible, but a rather tight fit. With Di2 it's easier as the cables are thin. If you have a mid-routed dropper post (cable attaches near the seatpost clamp) you can run the dropper cable via the caliper brake ports on the top tube.
      Our Titanium velo frame has a proper dropper routing port on the seat tube. Drop us a message on the website!

      It's not the lightest, but the low gear ratio and smaller wheels mean that it can climb!

      @@ascentbikes Will you produce Folding bicycle? The public transportation in my city no longer allows non folding bike, 😭
