too bad... Chinese people nowadays even live together without a wedding.. So sad for Chinese people to LOOK DOWN on and even get rid of their own beautiful, rich, and meaningful culture/history that spands for more than 5000 years of civilization to embrace and follow the short meaningless western culture. It's a tragic for Chinese culture and people.
Chinese people often blame Chinese traditional wedding "so expensive...more expensive than American/western wedding... blah blah..." This is not true and an excuse for them to have western wedding.
In traditional Chinese wedding, bride and groom were NOT supposed to wear white dresses because white is death/funeral. Red is the colour. Chinese people are sooo.... brainwashed because of worshipping western culture.
It depends on how grand and luxious you want to spend on your wedding. Chinese traditional wedding is NOT expensive. AND western style wedding is also NOT cheap at all. Look at the western wedding of Angela Baby and Huang Xiao Ming (is it correct spelling?), it costed $5 million USD... (not sure exact amount but for sure in millions of dollars). Then what? They are now divorced. Chinese people following a failed cutlure of the west that is they don't take marriages seriously.
