    So, this car is originally from Fujimino, Saitama-Prefecture, Japan. First sold to an owner in Fujimino, neighboring to the city where Honda Motor Co.'s, the HGW locates. Very interesting, now, in Florida. BTW, I'm living in Kawaguchi-City also close to Fujimino. And more I read owners manual and documents written in Japanese, from this youtube video, that perspective car was owned by only a grandma or a guy. Because, the business cards left in owner's manual have very old TOYOTA company logo or the trademark for Japan before 1989.

      Hello. Can you help me. I found a hidden GPS black box in my Royal Crown 1994 G. It keeps dying. There a drain, A power drain in the lights, the auto mechanic said hed have to rip it all out. But he also mentioned i can take out a fuse if i want to disable the interior lights, but that would suck. Why would there be a hidden blacck box in there, it was found behind the glove box, literally had to pull the whole thing out.

      @Prova512M Před 2 lety

      @@barristanselmy2758 Hi, I don’t know if my knowledge helps you or your mechanic, in those days especially with cars like the TOYOTA had the GPS black box in its trunk or the shelf, the most effective and proper place to receive the GPS wave(s). And the drain, mostly it happened by rotted or smashed “weather seal”, a rubber tape around trunk, rain or water traces down trunk panel arms then later flooded and rusts the temporary tire hump or the car like yours, shelf. I heard several reasons problems like your Crown has, one is that slammed into the rear end, rear end collision and then fixed roughly. Two is the aged or rotted weather seal what I’ve mentioned. And three is mostly this, rotted unit board of the GPS receiver.
      I hope your car’s harnesses reconnect properly and work as it should. If it’s not, you can still find some parts from other old Crown on Yahoo! auction website in Japan. That might help you and recover those electronic devices.

    Love this car. I have a 2001 Toyota Crown - a grey import from Japan to Australia. Same engine as yours but with the uprated VVT-i variable valve timing. Very smooth and powerful. Although your UZS131 is not common in Japan, neither are they rare. I checked the Japanese online auctions and in the past 10 weeks or so there have been half a dozen of them sold for between JPY111,000 and JPY308,000 so terrific value for money. Yours is in exceptional condition so it may have been more expensive but probably still good value anyway for what you get. Thanks for uploading your video.

    • @syxepop
      @syxepop Před 7 lety +1

      Actually the OG Lexus LS400 was an '89 model, rather than '99. The original Lexus came from the same platform family as this Crown and features the same engine (most Crowns at the time had versions of the Supra 3.0L I6, one of the versions going into the 2nd Lexus sedán, the GS300).
      What the Lexus didn't had are some the gadgets reserved for the JDM, like the CRT TV...

    • @BTCRAILFILMS
      @BTCRAILFILMS Před 7 lety

      I know that, the Lexus brand started up in the late 80s, released in '89, and then a body change in '94, but it was the 1999 model to have the SatNav system in the car, yet, yeah, not the TV.
      And yes, the Crown did share itself with Lexus because even the early 1990s models looked similar to the LS400.

    did people ever wonder about why the car was RHD when you drove it?
    anyway. In quite a few videos, people would say the car was sold only in Japan. Which is not true since it was also sold in various Middle Eastern countries like Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and etc.

      Sal Dorado Definitely odd. My Toyota Century (exclusively a Japanese car) had some things in english too. I always wondered why.

      Joshuah DiVirgilio seeing the technology in that car for being an 89..really disappoints me in american cars. They barely gave us a taste of that with Lexus. I actually remember a friend of my moms buying a Cressida in the 80's..completely blown away with that car.
