If they showed Palpatine's full speech while showing the Jedi masters being executed one by one by Clones, showing quick cameos of characters like Boba Fett and a kid Han Solo watching from other planets and Anakin slaughtering the Separatists in Mustafar like in the novel of Episode 3, it could've been a banger!
Had the Empire followed the Thrawn Doctrine rather than the Tarkin Doctrine, it might have succeeded.

I always like to imagine 2 junior officers serving a crap detail aboard the Chimera. I could see one officer winching about the crap detail and the other saying that it beats being murdered.

The full speech here shows some of the quotes in different order then how it was shown in the movie. In the movie, first he said the Jedi rebellion was foiled, then he said the remaining will be hunted down, then he talks about being scarred and deformed, then he says the Republic will become the Empire.

The best part really is when he’s up there literally talking about how his own apprentice Darth Tyranus was “getting propped up by the Jedi as the Leader of the Confederacy.” How brazen………I’m sure the Jedi would have really liked to know if they were secretly working with Dooku, because I don’t think they or he saw it that way.

Very much the same with how long it lasted. Nazi Germany officially lasted for about 12 years until its defeat and dissolution in 1945. Like how the Galactic Empire lasted for a very short time. Both promised its Empire to stand for thousands of years. You can see just how much Lucas compiled Nazi beliefs and similarities into the Empire.

I love how the rise of the Galactic Empire mirrors that of the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Just to see how a republic can very easily become can Empire with the perfect storm of tactical and corruptive moves.

Ceasar probably was just a populist who wanted to take power, not to oppress people, just for the sake of being in charge. He did a lot of good things to the plebes, only to gain their support (the nobility and the senate wanted to eliminate him, so he needed someone to support him).

Thinking about this scene makes me think of the transformation of the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire. In fact there are some good similarities if you pay enough attention to the star wars lore.

Palpatine plan is a masterpiece... he would have won even if the seperatist won. The jedi lost the moment they join the war , and if think about it the fact they had to face a robot army was the key of palpatine 's plan , i truly belive if the war was against Humans vs humans insteed clones vs robots the jedi would never join it

A beautiful speech by the legendary Emperor, but my only critique is the fact it doesn’t tie in with the films.
“And the Jedi Rebellion has been foiled.” comes BEFORE “The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated!”, not later AFTER he says “The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed..”.
Apart from that, great video 👍🏼
