I have my grandmother's scrapbook. She grew up in Atlanta and got all the original newspaper articles, and other memorabilia and put it all together in a Gone With The Wind Scrapbook. My great grandmother was a seamstress for Rich's. When my Grandmother's brother passed at 10, Margaret Mitchell sent her a telegram with her condolences.
Such a beautiful movie! I really wish beautiful things like this were not threatened for removal. This is our history and it's not right to erase it. We can all live in this world together and enjoy all things historical no matter what side its on.
Scarlett's nightgown from gone with wind. Is in a small museum in topsham town, Devon England not far from where I live, along side some of her personal clothing. All donated from her daughter. I was amazed at all the beautiful hand stitching on her nightgown, and how amazingly tiny it is, as it looked so large on Scarlett in the movie. Beautiful very small town, lots of history. And ties with her first husband's family.
I think you mean Vivien Leigh. She was British so I am not surprised.
Thank you for this insight. I admire how Suzanne Farrington lived a life of dignity and achieved a happy personal life despite the challenges of her childhood.
Love this GWTW. I met 3 who were in the movie. Cammie King, that soldier Junior Coghlan and Butterfly McQueen. Thanx.
How cool!
Enjoyed the vlog. The baby born to Melanie in the "I don't know nothing about birthin' babies" scene, Beau Wilkes, played by Patrick Curtis, was once married to Raquel Welch.
I loved Olivia de Havilland. She died around a year ago. I believe she was 104! What a blessed life. She had to be one of the last, if not the last cast member of 'GWTW.' Loved your visit to the museum :)
Amazing actress, Olivia. What a film, their will never be another in history like it. The golden years have gone?? The only actor, I have ever respected since is Mel Gibson, never golden era! But a legend in the film industry, in my opinion.
Yes, Olivia was the last of any cast or crew member involved with the production. Also the last major star from Hollywood's Golden Era. She died only days after her 104th birthday, outliving just about every person she worked with. I'm sure that was an odd feeling.
I have a Gone With The Wind booklet that was my grandmother's that was sold in theaters for 25 cents.
Omg a treasure!
How precious owning your grandmother's past. Hold it dear to your past and future of your family.
From my perspective, Gone With the Wind is the best picture ever made. I feel that it accurately depicted life in Georgia in the 1800's, as my mother's family was from there. As a child, I was told many stories from that time in the old south. Scarlett loved Mammy, just as my family their cook.
Mammy was the sharpest person in the movie. She had Scarlett’s number. Love Hattie McDaniel.
@@nativevirginian8344Mammy knew Scarlett in a way Scarlett's own mother didn't know. Rhett said Mammy was one of the few people whose respect he would like to have. When I encounter a person with an unwarranted high opinion of himself or herself, I think of Mammy calling Rhett and Scarlett just "mules in horse's harness."
The gift shop should have a sign. "Give a Damn. Buy something!"😆
I totally agree, but some of our young generation, have no idea of this great movie age! Not their fault! It's an era, they couldn't understand unless they went to past movie history? One thing I would say is Mel Gibson, not golden age of Hollywood.. but a legend. Jordan can u do a vlog on Mel?
I really loved all the actors in Gone With the Wind
Hattie McDaniels what a great actress
And love Butterfly McQueen
Oliver DeHavilland
Thanks Jordan great video
Love and hugs to sweet little Jah 😃👍💕
Wow, Jordan - what a great blog!! I really enjoyed this!! I was a visual researcher then a corporate researcher at The Franklin Mint. We also had The Franklin Mint's Museum and I would help the curator out with the different exhibits at the museum. One year we had an exhibit on "Gone With The Wind" and I got to meet the set designer on the movie "Gone With The Wind." I got him to sign this big book I had on the production of the movie"Gone With The Wind." That researcher job was my favorite job! I was always learning something new!! 😊
I grew up in a replica of Tara, my grandfather was a huge fan of Gone With The Wind,
What a dream,what a history. How amazing.
The best part for me was it was supposed to be like Tara but It looks a whole lot more like Graceland. So being an Elvis fan i felt like a king
😮❤
The golden era of Hollywood - magical!!!!!.
Nothing could compare, beautiful, elegant, respectful, their movies were their fans, who appreciated their craft. They were actors! Not or ever trying to be influencetial, stepping out of their craft, boy oh boy what a craft and legacy 80years +++ the only actor that could come close to the golden era, is Mel Gibson! He is not golden era,but a true legend of films..
I love Gone With the Wind!!! What a great museum. Great video Jordan!!!
Great vlog Jordan! Gone With The Wind is one of my favorite movies. I’d love to tour that place. All of that history is so interesting, what a special place. Thanks for sharing 🙂
No matter what happens wih the movie. I loved it! Comments of a black woman...represents history.
Thanks, Jordan.
very excited to see this, and the spot where Lynyrd Skynyrd did their album shot really put the icing on the cake , thanks again, see you tomorrow
My older sister is a big GWTW fan, I remember when they showed it on t.v. for the first time back in the mid 1970s. i am a fan of the author Margaret Mitchell, she lead an interesting life.
I absolutely love this vlog. Gone with the wind is my all time favorite movie. My formal dining room is decorated in gwtw memorabilia!!!!! I definitely have to go see this museum!!!! Thank you Jordan for making my day 💜
Outstanding video, Jordan! It was wonderful to watch. Thank you!!
Really enjoyed this one Jordan!! Thanks a bunch
My mom and dad saw Gone With The Wind when it came out in 1939.
Watch the Carol Burnett spoof on GWTW. It's hilarious.
Thank you again for showing me things I would never get to see if not for your amazing talent. Again thank you for being you, no pretence, just you,
This was fantastic! Loved it. Thanks Jordan
"Gone with the Wind" is one of my favorite films! I remember seeing your vlogs with Peter some time ago. Love this tour through the museum and that miniature recreation of Tara was awesome. Thanks so much for sharing this, Jordan!
What a cool museum Jordan. GWTW is a great movie. I have not seen it in years. Maybe I will go re-watch it. Thanks for sharing the museum.
What a special vlog Jordan . Thank you ♥️
Absolutely superb tour!! Thanks, Jordan!
Jordan that was breathtaking!! You did a fantastic job showing that place!! Thank you for going there and sharing it 😊
Thank you!
Thank you Jordan for all your research and hard work, I very much appreciate you fantastic efforts and very much enjoy your videos, you give great detail and good video work too. Great Vlog once again 👍
Jordan, I totally agree with your assessment of this movie. It was one of the greatest cinematic events of the 20th century. Even now it is hard to imagine it was made 82 years ago. The 'burning of Atlanta' scenes - when Selznick filmed the actors in front of a black screen, added the footage from the back lot fire, then created the buildings with painted matte plates was not only inspirational - but still looks superior to a lot of the computer graphics we see today. Many thanks for visiting this Museum Jordan.
The buildings were real....done with old sets from the Studio backlot.
I have watched this movie dozens of times (I’m old 😊). It always seems modern & fresh. It has an energy to it. Just a wonderfully made movie.
14th December - Just to let you know Jordan's latest vlog is the 'Gone with the Wind Museum'.
I remember when they would air this once yearly on television...I'd never miss a year watching it. It was such a beautifully done masterpiece...from the costumes, landscapes, actors, homes, & horses & buggies.
Same... my mom and I would watch it.. as I've grown it truly is a sad love story..and shows you so much and what should matter to you in life..you can have it all and still end up with nothing..
@@caseyheckelmiller4495 yes, exactly! I remember when I was young I wished the movie would end another way...just once! I wished Bonnie wouldn't die & that Scarlett wouldn't wait until "tomorrow", she would seize the day TODAY & run after Rhett and he'd forgive her.
Part of her issue was she always procrastinated lol! The other was she didn't recognize true love when she truly had it. I wouldn't want an "Ashley" in my life. He'd need a mother more than a wife lol.
ANOTHER WONDERFUL STREAM THANK YOU Soooo Much.
highly entertaining! How wonderful that you share your travels with us!
Absolutely enjoyed this vlog. GWTW is my favourite film, you did such a great job showing everything as you always do. More please !
One of the best videos I've viewed on utube. Thank you
I love "Gone With the Wind" so this museum is Awesome!!! I'm so glad that you and Jah are back on the road. :)
This was an excellent blog. Keep up the good work. ❤️
Hi Jordan, oh, sheer magic seeing all those 'behind the scenes' photos of 'Gone With The Wind'. I'm so pleased they have a couple of the original prop ornaments from the film and 'Scarlet's' hat aswell. It really makes my day knowing more old pieces of Hollywood film history from the studios have been saved for us to enjoy. Great vlog Jordan.
The beer warehouse where they picked the Coors in Smokey was just a little bit further down the sidewalk from the Skynyrd album shot. Awesome vlog Jordan!
So glad that museum is around. Born and raised a Southern girl. My grandparents lived in an antebellum house. Union soldiers stayed in that house during the Civil War and the Bonnie Blue song was written there also. Had ancestors who fought in the Civil war. Hurricane Camille in 1969 didn’t damage the house except for a couple of shingles. Hurricane Katrina totally destroyed it. The only way anyone would know the historical significance of the house is that an Historical Society plaque is there. It replaced the one that was originally there. A duplicate house has never been built on that property. It was a very special house. Thankfully I have a sketch picture of it hanging on my wall. Wish all of y’all could have seen it. It’s way I love antebellum homes and antiques so much growing up around it. Watch Gone With the Wind every chance I get. Got so many memories with my grandparents and my family there. God bless Jordan, Jah and all the Lionhearts
I am a dollhouse person so that is definitely my favourite thing there! :)
I appreciate your channel so much, and how you love and share the history of old movies. I also appreciated how you handled the poster at 9:36. It was an interesting artifact to see. You didn't make too many comments on it, not taking a stance on it or giving personal opinion. Classy and just letting your audience experience and interpret things for themselves. It's what makes your channel so great.
great video!! I loved everything I saw, thank you very much💟
I love gone with the wind favorite movie and book! Thank you so much you do such a wonderful job on your vlogs.
Jordan this was such a good video on the Gone with the Wind Museum, loved looking at all the wonderful things. JORDAN THANK YOU! For this Vlog! I was there two years ago and they have updated the museum. I was SO crestfallen when I heard Tara was sold but to whom? JONESBORO! What a perfect place! I'm calling tomorrow to see if they are going to start a fundraiser to erect Tara once more. I feel obligated because I was born and raised in and near Atlanta. HOME! ❤️
The dresses are in the Ransom Center at the University of Texas where they were restored. Absolutely love your channel ❤
Restored under the archival directorship of Raymond Daum who also curated the personal collections of Greta Garbo and Gloria Swanson.

Hey Finland! Were are you from! My mom grew up in borga and I spent several summers in my grandmothers summer house off the Bay of Finland. You could see Russia from across the Bay. Heard some interesting stories about my grandmother smuggling/ hiding things from the Russians during the war.
I'm enjoying your videos on GWTW. It has been my favorite movie for more than 40 years. Thank you.
Thank you for this vlog, Gone with the Wind has been my favorite movie since I was 15!

A beautiful museum. The little Tara house is awesome.
Wonderful vlog Jordan. Nice Museum.
One of my favorite movies! Thank you for doing this vlog!
Loved it! Thank you.
Hi Jordan great job on the greatest production of a movie ever with its fanfare and all ! Hattie was a pioneer and a true pro !! And Rhett the greatest movie character ever trailed slightly by Rick Blaine !!
The old documentary on the making of Gone With The Wind was almost as dramatic as the movie itself.
Yes! The audition reel is something I have watched over and over!
Awesome vlog!! Ya got a 3 in one without trying!! GWTW, Lynard Skynard AND Smokey and the bandit!! Nicely done!!
An extremely well put thought out museum. Wonderful.
Frankly Jordan this was so great to see!! It is my all time favorite film. I watch GNWT at least once a year. Thank you!!!

Very cool place! Thanks for sharing Jordan!
I really enjoyed seeing this museum. It’s my absolute favorite movie!!
While on a road trip from Texas my husband and I went to this museum and loved it!!❤️
Thanks so much for the vlog! I've been collecting GWTW memorabilia for year. Herb Bridges, whose collection is housed at the Road to Tara museum, was a great friend to me and all collectors. I suppose my favorite piece from my collection is an unused ticket to the premier in December 1939. It's a very rare item.
Great video. Entertaining and Informative. Thank you.
Really enjoyed this thank you sir
I wanted to tell you that I was as sick as a dog this week with an upper respertory chest infection - after a private tour of Greenville South Carolina Zoo last Friday but I started the job of my life this week also. Your blogs cheered me up no end especially the house ones. Many thanks for all your hard work.
Hope your feeling better, Madeleine!❤

Thank you for sharing. I have my Grandmother's original copy of the book. She would read it once a year so I have done the same. The pages are so fragile I'm going to have to stop reading out of hers and buy another one.
Thanks again Jordan !!
Thank you so much for this video I’m in Australia & wondered what was inside 😊
