Kelly Hu was Miss Hawaii USA 1993, and represented her home state in the same competition as Kenya Moore (who won the crown). In the 1993 Miss USA pageant, held in Wichita, Kansas, Hu entered the top 10 in second place, after winning the preliminary interview competition and placing second and third, respectively, in swimsuit and evening gown. She then made the top 6 and ranked second, winning the top 10 evening gown competition and placing second in swimsuit. She was eliminated in 4th place after the judges' questions, just two hundredths of a point from the final three.

@@carolmandi1316 asians have always seen themselves as being closer to Caucasians, thats why more asians are open to marrying caucasians than blacks. Ppl of color comes from those who are usually black or of hispanic descent. I have never heard asians being seen as ppl of color, everyone wants to jump on the color wagon until it doesn't suit them.
Anyone who isn't white is usually considered a person of color.
People of color is anyone who is NOT WHITE. It was coined during the 60's by Black liberation activists who were building cross community coalitions
