As an ESL teacher from Uzbekistan, I always found it difficult to explain the difference between 'by' and 'until' to my students. However, I instinctly new the difference if I had to use them. Thank you James, now I know how to explain it as well.
The Best teacher I have ever witnessed in my life, I confess that I have learned a lot from you James, there're many words that we've miss use them until now, but thanks your lessons I am really, really improving my English level, from accent, writing and vocabulary. May God bless you from wherever you are right now, a fratern hug from Angola 🇦🇴🙏🙏🙏.
I afraid they aren't the same. As i know, "by" is like the action should be done before or on the given day but not after. And "at" as you know, it is at the given day. It's too long since you've questioned, sorry about that🌷
Thank you very much, for me to teach English on lessons useful twice. I'm from Russia and thanks to you to learn rules and listen to the media speech while I'm trying to understand what you're talking about.
Great lesson James! I am enamored with your teaching style ; Do you mind to make a video about the tips of teaching ? Like body language and where to learn these kind of things . Thank you ! Homework : 1. by 2. until 3. Depends on the context : both of them can be correct
Thank you for this lesson. I'm going to be. studying one of your videos daily to improve my grammar and English. DO you have an explanation of everyday and every day?
(A) Please pay this bill by may 1st (B) You have until Friday to hand in your essay (C) she’ll be at the office until/by 12pm (note: two different meanings, depends of the context)
Hello, James! I am confused about this sentence you used: "I will be finished work by 5 o'clock tomorrow." Could you be kind to explain what tense is that, please? I ask because I watched Rebecca's lessons about English tenses and there is no future tense that use a "will be + vb + ed" construction. Future Simple would be: I will finish... Future Continuous would be: I will be finishing... Future Perfect would be: I will have finished... Future Perfect Continuous would be: I will have been finishing... What am I missing here? Thank you.
Hi, James how do you do? Why you make videos late and second think is that try to make videos after 2 days or 4 days through this we may connect. Your videos are really helpful for me. From India
Your videos and expressions are amazing, so useful to speak better english. Thanks so much! But i want to ask smt for you all, is there any solution/website or dictionary to check the validity of the words? I mean we all learn an english expression or a word, but i can't be sure if the word is old-fashioned or not especially if i didn't see the expression in the tv series.
Sir as you have written i will be finish work in example it's wrong usage i feel Don't wish to offend but it should be i will finish or i will be finishing
