Just stumbled upon this. LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! Not sure if it’s me, but the absence of the instrumental music and just using the vocals...BRILLIANT!!!

Their musicality is some of the best on CZcams. Great moments, and it gets me in the feels every time to see the final soloist…the look on her face as she looks at her team, and the hitching of her breath as the show closes and she tries to hold in the emotion. You can just tell this senior has completed her final performance with this team.

I love the person who jumps out of their seat to cheer after the toss around 3:45

@1:40 She still holds the title for best recovery from a scholastic group. I mean come on she didn’t miss a BEAT and still had a smile 😭

they are really talented. a lot of emotion is expressed and everything is so in sync. I just find the choice of music and their concept odd.

You find it odd that they are using a song that makes references to love, dancing with somebody, the clock striking 12 and their show is about Cinderella? How are you not able to pick that up? >.>

Sound well i think they mean the fact that it’s a cappella. from a guard perspective, this is kind of odd because there’s no background music so there are no musical checkpoints. if i was watching this live, i wouldn’t know if they were trying to be aggressive or light. idk if you do guard but that’s what i see.

@@SoundShapeColor It's a strange musical selection for the story of Cinderella. It's a pop song about sexual desire and finding a "love that burns". (Who knew Cinderella was so horny?) Frankly, this tune doesn't capture the innocence and purity of Cinderella. It sounds like the designer did a search for lyrics with the term "clock" in it. Also, the style of dance doesn't match the characters-- these are the most refined and elegant mop pushers I've ever seen. The dancers are expressive and the mops in lieu of flags are inventive and fun to watch.
But what happens by the end of the show? How does Cinderella change? What's the takeaway? What's different by the end? Sadly, nothing. At the end, she's still waiting for "a love that burns". In music videos, in plays, in commercials, in almost any performing art, the action is key. Avoid having your characters waiting for something to happen in the future, avoid something happening in the past, make it so, right now-- there's no time to sit and wait. (In most commercials, the inciting action happens in the first ten seconds.)
Color guard design teams are making all the amateur mistakes that have already been made in TV, film and stage. It's painful to watch. Like watching an artist walk through a mine field.

Jesu Spectre are you able to choreograph a show like this?

Music sucks and no real equipment work like in the 1990's. These shows get worse and worse with crap dancing.

    • @kevinstark8039

Are you kidding? This show is brilliant. It has a clear story and the equipment work was clean and great. This was a great show for an A class group. I’m sure these kids worked their butts off this season and it clearly shows. As for the dancing part, are you kidding me? The dancing has great effect on the theme and the dance soloists killed it that year. You are obviously sad and bitter. Get well soon 😍❤️
