I said sometimes, i didnt specify when as i wasnt sure what day the service operated on (saturday, sunday, or both, i forgot), i thought people would know that the service is a limited service as i said sometimes they operate to these 2 places, and i only said the stops the service stops at, i dont have to say them in the correct order, i think most people know that liverpool street is the terminus for most greateranglia services and the weekend c2c services that operate to liv st, and i think most people know that stratford is in front of liv st
I would rather go with c2c 1. Not replacing a valuable, easy maintenance train 2. Actually cares about the costumers and not the money (sometimes) 3. TURBOSTAR FACE GIGA CHAD 'greater' anglia 1. Replacing the whole fleet and even the POOR CLASS 379 2.class 720 3. No Turbostar face anymore 😕 c2c 3/ greater Anglia 1 in my opinion
I am nitpicking. Romford is served OUTSIDE peak hours by Greatest Anglia, twice an hour. Peak hour services skip Romford. I used the 321s from new and liked them then. Aisle space looks atrocious in the 720s. I would not care to stand on a rush hour train.
720's ride nice. But that's it. The seating and the clearance in the aisles are shocking. (Sorry, forgot, the doors don't slam with every passing train or gust of wind like the 321s did, Renatus or not)
The Class 720s are a lot better than the Renatus Class 321s (they're no better than the Class 700s, they're probably worse due to the lacking PIS, no walkthrough carriages and the seats being worse). The un-refurbished Class 321s are a bit better than the Renatus Class 321s, bit more comfy but they're not that great and they're not in service anymore. I've only travelled on a 322 (or 321/9) once and it had horrible ventilation so as far as I'm concerned the 720s are more than worthy replacements, even if I'll miss the 321s for nostalgia reasons.
I don't think walkthrough are that necessary for commuter trains. They are better suited to metros. With the tight 3+2 seating I feel the Class 720's could have done with the more traditional electric doors between carriages.
Isn't 720 an evolution of the *Electrostars??* 321's were a night and day difference compared to the slam door stock that came before. They're too old now though. Oh by the way, all TOCs who have operated services on this line NEVER maintain their toilets, certainly never between trips. Doesn't matter which trainset.
I feel like aventras are an evolution of electrostars in terms of traction motors, design, acceleration. But to me, eletrostars look more comfortable than aventras.
Liverpool Street railway and tube station London Overground C2c (class 357) Greater Anglia Stansted express Central line Circle line Hammersmith and city line And a new Elizabeth line
Personally I don't like the seating arrangement in the 720s, the aisle is far too narrow even for slim people. Seats are also uncomfortable with minimal padding.
also i wanna point out that c2c operates to liverpool street and stratford sometimes
1. Wrong way, its Stratford then Liv Street
2. It is limited service
3. It is weekends only

@@mudchute4dlr i went on one to southend from stratford yesterday.
@@Les_MeilleursMCFC oh, i guess i didnt read the timetable properly lol
@@mudchute4dlr its all good its also may be a diversion lol so no worries
The 321s do have great traction sound thanks to their motors.
Nice content with great knowledge but perhaps too many abbreviations? Colchester CSD.. EMU... PIS (Passenger Information System for example)
Great video mate. Never been on either so can't say anything. 720s look similar to the 345s so should be a decent ride.
I'm going to ride on the Eilzabeth line for the first time with my family on 4th of August 2023
I've been on the 321 but I'd love to ride the 720
321 is way better
Aha my locals kelvedon. The signs have been replaced now but at Hatfield Peverel NSE signage on the end of platform 1 of u wanna check it out :)
Ah yes I noticed that when I did the 720 run… a real shame! Was meant to check out Hatfield Peverel at some point, so definitely on the cards, cheers!
I thought 2 + 3 was a thing of the past! Even Thameslink has 2 + 2 max!

c2c 3/ greater Anglia 1 in my opinion
the whole point of a new train is to also make maintenance easy and also most of the trains on c2c have 3+2 so not really a difference

These things are absolute rockets, they actually push you into your seat while powering you out of Liverpool St. Physically rather imposing as well.
Ive been on both of them, and i have to say both trains are good
321 were bins -- !!!! wont be missed

The only downsides I’d say about the 720 is the fact that the walkway is very narrow

321 renatus actually had good acceleration but the line to colchester can be rather steep.
The class 720 good but class 321 better
You need to try the 745 mow.
Well. The 377's 4 coach units have the same seating arrangement which is really bad.

Can you do this with the 745 and your review of the 379 to explain why the 745s are a downgrade on the Stansted exprss

It would be better with 2-2 seating like the transverse seats on 345s.

Class 720s aren't even actuall trains. In fact, I'd laugh at them.
321s, 317s, 360s and 90s were better
What song 6:16
They spent all that money on refurbishing them and they are going for scrap at the end of the year, what a waste!

And those fabulous class 90s being DEMOTED TO FREIGHT
been over a year since 321 left us 720 is shit in my oppinion #bringtheclass321back
The still have they class 321 in the Ilford depot
The class 321 are way better than the class 720 as the class 321 has wider isles
I agree in the strongest way possible
