Honestly the only reason why i watched the show was Spike!!!!
Same he was the heart of the show. Spike became the most important character on the show.
I still pretend mentally that spike n Buffy got together and that fire scene never happened in my mind lol
Just read the comics (which are canon) they get together in season 10 ❤️

Interesting... I don't think anyone on the show undrstood/understands why Spike was a romantic candidate. It was because he told the truth... He saw the truth, didn't kid himself, and he voiced it. Also, he had gone through the same difficulties Buffy had (rg, digging himself out of a grave), which gave him more personally insight into to what Buffy went through than Angel did.
Women have a very profound resonance with the truth, with a guy who is charming because of the (witty) way he tells the truth. Women arw VERY practical, and most of fhe 'illogical' actions atrributed to women by men are done intentionally by women to manipulate... sorry, its true (eg, acting helpless to make the man fee like a powerful protector when , if alone, the woman would handle the incident with no problem whatsoever). Most men don't SEE the truth, and if they do they don't know what to do with it... Spike saw it and voiced it.
Apparently Josh Whedon, therefore, created a romantic lead in spite of himself...
This is fucked up comment, man. lol
The movie that James is talking about is “Cat people “ ,1982, and the actor is Malcom McDowell.

Spike is the only reason I watched. And I wasn’t into the whole “Spuffy” relationship.
Nothing wrong with that. To each their own. But you can’t deny the Bangle relationship was dangerous cus Angel was cursed. BUT once Spike got his soul Buffy would NEVER have to worry about Spike losing his soul..
