OK thanks.Think this has helped me on my 2008 cdti design. Has O, A, sidelight, headlight. Guessing A is for roads that have heavily wooded ares that lack light, so lights come on. If it means fairly dark to night time driving, that would be even better! Have just bought car, so yet to drive it in dark.
What do the two buttons near the light switch do??

Hello Vauxhall Car Dude (and lady Dudess) Thanks for your video, I'm an old school driver...meaning if it gets dark when I'm driving along I flick a switch and the lights come on. Auto headlights? What does this mean? If I have the dial set to auto headlights do they just come an automatically when it starts gets dark? Surely not? Apologies if this is a daft question.
You need to manually set the dial to headlights at night. In my car it stays on sidelights by default on auto

My interior illumination on instruments and dash don’t seem to work. It’s summer just now so I’m ok…🫤
