Know where you're at, I'm so guilty of this. I bust and realize I was only 8 away from the seat.

I've seen sb and bb get it aipf KK v AA on the stone bubble of a satty when they were 2nd and 3rd in chips and 10 seats were given out. Silly!
I've also seen CL shove on 6th stack (again 10 make it) on the stone bubble and 6th stack calls off 15bb AQ v 1010 when the 11th short stack had 3 bb - and shorty was gonna be big blind next hand! Ridiculous!

Good video, you present well. I would be editing the text into the video though so you can eliminate the awkward silence gaps that happen each time you start writing.

Question for you: when playing Texas holdem and players drop which results in merging tables when is is necessary to draw for dealer. I’ve played if less than half are added the dealer stays the same. If over half are added you draw for the dealer. Please advise on n the rule

How I figure out when I can start playing more cautious? For example I was in satellite where 37 players get the seat and there were about 130/800 players remaining and I was at top ten. So I was wondering at the time if I should just play the premium hands and win the seat but I ended up playing normally and lose my chips and finally bust out 50.

calculate what the avg stack would be when 37 (or whatever the number of seats is) players are left. Try to stay at that stack or at a minimum 66% of it during the later stages of the satty as you near the bubble. Until you're near that stack you need to keep your foot on the pedal. When you reach that stack you can play defensive a lil more.

I dont think satellites are profitable, because your raked twice, once for the satellite and then raked again for the main event which eats into the satellite cus you have to pay for it.

Try party poker, there is almost always overlay, its pretty soft and there is less rake on both tournaments than ever.

They are definitely profitablez I've been a break even/ slightly losing player until I started playing satellites recently now I'm doing quite well indeed

The point to a satellite is for the poor people like me that cant afford a $10k buy-in and can get into it for say $1k satellite which is more in their bankroll rather than the full amount of the $10k, I won a seat in a satellite for $320 into a $1,200 tourney. I did not make the money, but I only lost my $320 not $1,200. And then did the same thing next time that tourney came to my town and actually cashed off of winning the same satellite. So yes the satellites are very profitable for the average low limit player.
